Dai Shiyuan returned to the house and looked at the empty and cold room, feeling like a part of her heart was missing. She sat on the couch holding a black cat, staring motionlessly at the dark night outside.

Finally, she was away from the female lead and living alone in this house. She should be happy, but Dai Shiyuan felt unmotivated and didn't want to do anything.

As time passed slowly, the black cat curled up and fell asleep, but Dai Shiyuan couldn't sleep at all. She looked at the clock on the wall and saw that it was already midnight. In the past, she would have been sound asleep by this time.

Dai Shiyuan sighed, leaned back weakly, closed her eyes, and didn't want to move despite the short distance to her room. The living room was very quiet, and she could hear the ticking of the clock.

She opened her eyes and saw that only five minutes had passed on the wall clock. She stared at it for a while and closed her eyes again, following the rhythm of the ticking in her mind. However, even after an hour passed, she still couldn't fall asleep.

As the sky outside gradually lightened, Dai Shiyuan's expression became increasingly numb, and she stared blankly outside. Suddenly, she heard the sound of the door turning, and someone was entering.

Dai Shiyuan was startled and quickly turned her head to see Shan Yaxin's figure. She asked in a low voice, "Sister Yaxin, are you here to pack things up?"

After a sleepless night, her voice sounded hoarse, and she looked a little dazed. Shan Yaxin closed the door, holding breakfast she bought downstairs, and smiled lightly, "Xiaoyuan, you got up early today. Are you going out?"

Dai Shiyuan stiffly shook her head, holding the black cat and sitting still. The smell of food had awakened the black cat, who jumped down and circled Shan Yaxin's feet affectionately.

Shan Yaxin smiled and touched the black cat's head before skillfully preparing cat food in the kitchen. Dai Shiyuan mechanically ate breakfast and occasionally glanced in Shan Yaxin's direction. Yesterday, she had stayed up all night, while Shan Yaxin looked energetic and unaffected.

Comparing the two, Dai Shiyuan suddenly felt an unexplainable anger rise within her.

But when she saw Shan Yaxin's gentle smile, she didn't want to be angry anymore.

Dai Shiyuan took a deep breath and quickly finished her breakfast. As she stood up to speak, she suddenly felt dizzy.

"Xiaoyuan, are you okay?" Shan Yaxin hurried over to support her, feeling her forehead for a fever. When she realized that Dai Shiyuan was not running a temperature, she breathed a sigh of relief and advised her gently, "Take care of yourself and get some rest."

Hearing this, Dai Shiyuan had a hunch that Shan Yaxin had figured out that she hadn't slept all night, but she didn't expose her. She felt inexplicably wronged.

"Sister Yaxin, I don't feel well. I'll go back to my room, you can clean up by yourself." Dai Shiyuan turned her head and spoke with an unintentionally low voice.

"Okay, you go rest." Shan Yaxin went along with her, looking gentle and as if she hadn't noticed anything.

Dai Shiyuan's heart choked, and she cast a blaming look, then stood up and went back to her room.

Hearing the sound of the door closing, Shan Yaxin couldn't help but smile, her eyes showing a happy expression.

She naturally knew that Dai Shiyuan hadn't slept all night.

For her, this was good news, at least it proved that she had some weight in Dai Shiyuan's heart, even if it wasn't love.

Shan Yaxin turned around with a smile and went to the kitchen to make a bowl of ginger tea, knocking on Dai Shiyuan's door and saying, "Xiaoyuan, drink some ginger tea."
