I had a clear view of all the happy smiles turning into uncontrollable tears as students said their goodbyes.
If it hadn't been for my last head of the school,I wouldn't even be here, instead relaxing before the school week started.I suppose it could have been worse, going from a normal school to a boarding school would have been nerve racking to say the least.
Fortunately,my last school was a boarding school so I already know what to expect for the most part.
The only difference being that this isn't exactly a regular school for a sixteen year old.
My teachers words were somewhere along the lines of 'you have the abilities,we know this is the right decision for you' at first I had thought they were going insane and had practically ignored them for three months.Only a few weeks ago had I actually become curious about the whole situation and agreed to talk about it,after one conversation about my parents I found myself signing papers.
I was brought only three hours away from my home town and got left in this train station.
It must have been around an hour since I got here, the view from the window was now almost empty with only few families waving their children off and the book in front of me seemed to have flipped over a hundred pages.
Thankfully I had a carriage to myself, most people looked in and decided to keep searching for one.
That was until one very clumsy ginger almost fell on the table as a gorgeous girl drew the doors.
In synch, the blonde turned around as the boy looked up and they both let out an ear bleeding scream when their eyes found mine.
I watched in silence as the boy began laughing at the girl who had one hand over her heart and the other smacking the back of his head. She was truly beautiful, with volumous blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Her features were angelic and the way she held herself radiated confidence every girl would wish for.
The same went to the boy,he really was majestic with captivating green eyes that matched his ginger mop perfectly.
It was obvious the two had a good relationship but whether it was more than friends I didn't know.
After a few seconds of the girl eyeing me all the while looking confused, her eyes widened as her brows shot to her hairline "wait!" she perked herself at the edge of the seat opposite to me and leaned forward "your that new girl that's been topic of the term?"
The boy next to her snapped his head to mine and a big smile spread across his face as he sat down next to me.
"I am new-"
The boy next to me stopped me mid sentence "It's rare the school lets somebody join halfway through school,of course it's her." rolling his eyes at his friend,he turned back to me "I'm Rowan and she is Shiloh."
Shiloh narrowed her eyes at him before looking back at me with a welcoming smile, "so what brings you here?" The question could have come off as intimidating or judging but the way she smiled and looked at me made it clear she was only curious.
Rowan's earlier statement played in my mind, having me hesitate before I found the right words to answer.
"My teachers at home brought it up," I began, both their eyes widening in surprise "but I'm not exactly sure why."
"You must be somebody really special then." Rowan huffed, leaning back into the seat with his arms crossed.
Shiloh and I laughed at the boy and I already began feeling welcome,I knew I would be staying with the two for a little while.
A while had passed and when I looked out of the window I was no longer met with the bright trees or the blue sky, night had rolled by and it was near impossible to make out anything other than the few stars.
While me and Shiloh conversed with one another,Rowan had fallen asleep and hogged a whole seat to himself.I felt my legs growing numb and sore and decided a small stroll along the train would do some good,I assume most of the students will be too tired to even acknowledge me if not asleep.
I left Shiloh with the sleeping boy as I closed the sliding door behind me and began walking down the small hall, letting my legs stretch.
I had no idea how long the train went on or if we were allowed to be walking around and this time but I always had the 'i'm new' card, maybe I could try it out.
I was nearing the end of the train when one of the carriage doors swung open abruptly,a boy walking out rather quickly. If it were any other time of the day I would have had the common sense to stop walking but instead I did the exact opposite and ended up bumping into his tense body.
"Watch where your going!" I hissed as I stepped back a few feet to take a look at the poor boy I had just blamed.
"Are you serious?" The boys already furrowed brows seemed to furrow even more as he glared down at me.
He had a point,I take full responsibility of walking into him.
I'm just not saying it.
It was hard to think of a comeback when such a beautiful boy was stood in front of me.He had perfect dark hair that looked long and silky with brown siren eyes. His features were those written off of a woman and I tried not to take notice of our height difference.
With me being 5'9 I had to assume he was around 6'3.
He wore the same uniform as Rowan but while his looked smart, the boy in front of me had his white shirt untucked and his black tie loosely hanging off of his thick neck, his blazer and pants being the only somewhat neat thing about his uniform.
"Jesus she's insane." I heard him mumble underneath his breath.
My head snapped up to his and before I could retort he turned back around and slammed the door shut behind him.
I stood there tempted to run into his carriage and give him a piece of my mind but decided on not giving myself the insane girl reputation on my first day and headed back to my own.
When I got back to our carriage I found Shiloh knocked out with Rowan expect instead of taking up the whole seat she had her head face down on the table in between.
I slowly pulled the doors closed so that it wouldn't make much noise and switched the dim lights off in the small room before taking a seat next to Shiloh,I knew I wouldn't fall asleep for a while as I had plenty of energy left so for the remaining hours on the train I had spent it reading and going through old photos with my friends.
