*Prathap Pov*

I just stared at her after hearing her response to her question and she added, "Have some lunch and then take rest."

Vikranth passed the bowl into her hands after Anitha helped Kanika to sit up. He glanced at us saying, "Let's go!"

I stared at his face and it feels like we are resembling each other with the shock not leaving our minds.

"I need to go and order some food for the crew and take it to them as they made changes to the shootings today for Anny." Nitish said glancing at Shrishti and she gave him a nod while I already turned away from the room to go downstairs feeling suffocated here.

When we reached the living room, Vikranth checked his phone saying, "I have to go and attend a meeting. I will be here later."

He too left and I just sat silently on the couch lost in my thoughts until I felt a pat on my shoulder and I turned to find Shrishti sitting beside me.

"You should go and rest. You have been working from the morning with all this." I said and she nodded but just stared at me.

"What?" I asked and she sighed leaning back.

"You look upset! It was shocking to hear the earlier conversation but as we don't know what is actually going on, we shouldn't think much about it and wait until there can be a proper conversation." She replied and I blinked at her.

"Earlier, I took stupid decisions without knowing or thinking properly about what is going on. I was selfishly thinking about my friend instead of Kanika. So, unless we know the issue, it is better to not think about those things." She added and I remember what she said earlier.

"But you asked me to call Vikranth because it would take time for Anitha to come here." I pointed out frowning.

"At that time, that was the intention. However, when I saw Vikranth's reaction, my intention changed to just let them both spend time with each other and not have Anny come here. I even asked Nitish to not tell her about this but he professionally handled the issue instead of following my words." She explained and I stared at her in shock.

"I know, that was selfish on my part." She added closing her eyes.

"But after seeing Anny's reaction, I felt guilty and now after seeing Kanika's state, I feel worse. Of course, I am saying all these not because of my feelings or anything. I am just saying that, wait until you talk to Anny and think about this matter." She said opening her eyes to glance at me.

"I don't know! Recently, I am thinking that I don't matter at all. Like, it wouldn't matter if I am in her life or not. I am not saying she should feel lost without me but... I just... I just know that I will not be in a good state if I lose her but that is not the case for her." I explained and rubbed my forehead.

"I also think, this happened because I broke her trust once with my actions and now even though we got together, that trust will not be placed on me again anytime soon." I added glancing at her.

"Did you talk to her?" She asked frowning at me.

"No! I am scared to hear her saying that whatever I am feeling is true." I replied and she held my hand hearing those words.

"As far as I have seen, Anny loves you. I don't think Anny is the type of person who will be with someone unless she wants to completely with her heart as far as I have known about her. So, maybe it is better to talk to her than kill yourself with these thoughts. Also, their friendship is completely different from ours is what I felt. So, we can't generalize everything." She continued.
