Chapter 25

*Anitha Pov*

"You are so busy recently and we couldn't meet at all." Aunty said holding my hand and I smiled nodding at her.

"Then? She is a very popular and most wanted actress right now. We are even getting calls to GH's main branch for commercials for her." Uncle added and I gave him a surprised look but didn't say anything.

"You should take care of your health too. Is he taking care of you?" She asked pointing at her son.

"Definitely! He always makes sure I am taking enough rest and also have meals regularly." I replied smiling at Prathap and he smiled back while ignoring the snort from his father.

"It would be good to meet regularly. Are you busy tomorrow? We will go for some shopping." She offered and I cleared my throat.

"Mom! She finally got a week's rest and you want to trouble her like this." Prathap commented and she chuckled nodding.

We moved to the dining table to have dinner and she asked about my work while the father and son remained silent.

"Is Shrishti fine? I heard she is going to work now." Aunty asked glancing at me.

"She is! Everyone is taking care of her and so she is fine now." I replied and she talked about Shrishti's father.

"He finally calmed down. He was so sad recently that he didn't go to work properly and Vikranth got more work in his share." Pramod Uncle stated.

"You can take some share from him so that he has time for his personal issues, right?" Prathap asked glancing at him.

"What?" Uncle asked glancing at him.

"He is already working so hard and you all are adding more work to him. He also has his personal life and is not there just to live for GH." Prathap pointed out.

"Then why didn't you stay at GH to help him out? Why did you think we all wanted Shrishti and you to stay back? Do you think there is no fault of yours?" Uncle asked raising his voice.

Prathap stared at him in silence for a few seconds before glancing at me and then continued to have his dinner.

"Working as a chef! As if that is something so amazing. You could have continued to cook as a hobby and just stay in GH. But no! You just want to open those restaurants to rebel against us." Uncle just continued and I frowned hearing those words.

"I..." Prathap held my hand before I could say anything and just let Uncle continue to talk and he stopped after a few minutes as Aunty started scolding him.

After dinner, I sat with them in the living room and checked the time to see it was past ten and it is better to leave now.

I nodded at Prathap who is doing the same but suddenly Aunty said, "Why don't you both stay here? It's already late and it's better to not drive at this time."

"It's okay, Aunty! We can go within an hour." I said not wishing to stay back as I never stayed here even when she asked us previously.

"If there is more traffic, it will take even longer. His room is clean and you both can just rest here. I have clothes that are new and you can use them for nightwear. I will go and bring them to the room." Saying that she stood up and didn't give me any chance unlike previous times when she listened to me.

"Prathap! Take her to your room and I will bring the clothes soon." She added and just walked away.

"I..." I stared at her in shock before glancing at Prathap.
