Kiara

I've never been happier.

Well that's a lie.

But today's the last day of school which means no more homework, no more exams, no more having to wake up early and take care of my hair.

Summer starts tomorrow and I'm so relieved yet still sad. Over the past year— I've been very overwhelmed with all new kinds of emotions and I spot the reason for it standing on the field when I look up.

Elio– the tall Italian foreign student with brown curly-wavy-ish hair, pink round lips, green large eyes and a beautiful boyish smile.

He's ethereal to say at least.

Although he has been a pain in the ass every chance he got, I can't deny that he gives me butterflies. And there are many.

From the way he looks at me when I tutor him or the nickname he has given me.

Principessa - I legit die and come back to life every time he calls me that.

My breath hitches as his tall frame starts walking towards me with his hands in the pockets of his loose jeans that make him look even taller and imitating. I'm so nervous.

"Kiara." He rolls the 'r' in my name and I feel my heart almost jump out of my chest.

"Elio." I breathe out with a smile to try and cover my nervousness but the way he's looking at me and biting his full bottom lip, shows me that he's fully aware of how I'm feeling towards him.

His head tilts to the right as his eyes slowly wander down my body to my heels that are not too low, not too high, platform, pastel pink and with ribbons that I've tied around my legs. I like making my hobby– ballet– as my personality.

"A volte la mia principessa, a volte la mia piccola ballerina." [Sometimes my princess, sometimes my little ballerina.] He chuckles and my brows furrow in confusion.

What?

"What does that mean?" I ask but he shakes his head with a soft laugh.

"Nothing important but uhmm....I wanted to ask you something.." He says, coming closer which almost made my knees buckle.

Even with heels, he's still a head and a little taller than me– and if I may add, I got my dad's tall genes as well. Imagine how tall Elio is.

"O-Oh, yeah sure, what is it?" I stammer and then slap my hand over my mouth, making him laugh.

What am I doing?!

"I'm maybe moving back to Italy again and I....I want to hang out with you before that. Is that okay?" Elio scratches his neck as his big green pupils dart between my two eyes.

I run my tongue over my bottom lip and bite it to prevent him from seeing my smile. This boy....

"You want to take me-"

"Take you?! No, no I'm sorry. Not like that" His eyes widen and I burst out laughing at the misunderstanding.

"No, to take someone out means that you go out with them on a date." I explain between laughs  and watch as the brunette closes his eyes in relief.

"Oh." Is all that leaves his mouth, which makes me laugh even more.

"Well then, I want to take you out on a date." He chuckles as he gently grabs one of my hands and plays with my fingers, sending an electric shock.
