Cordelia
🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🗡️🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹It's been a week since I left Belvedere and I can't wait to get back to Devika. It's been smooth sailing so far and my crew has settled into their roles after not being on sea for that long.
"Captain!" Looking up from steering the Sea rose, I found Sif running towards me. I opened my arms for her to jump into, she had the cutest brown curls and a scar running from her chin to her eye. She was so lucky that her eye was not lost. Thankfully, we have an amazing healer, Freyja.
"Hey, what are you doing my little diamond." I asked her while booping her nose.
She giggled saying, "It's almost dinner. Mamma says come down before she eats all your food." I smiled and made sure the ship was steered in the right direction before locking the wheel into place. I walked down to the small kitchen that's right above the brig, and as we got closer the sounds of clattering could be heard. It's probably the rest of the crew setting up the table.
The smell of the amazing dinner Alara made could be smelled from a mile away. I put Sif down and headed towards my seat at the head of the table. When I sat down, a chorus of "Good evening captain," followed. I smiled at my crew before digging in.
" Get your damn feet of the table Freyja" Alara said "No you can't feed Nova Sif." She has been the overprotective mother of the crew since the beginning. While Freyja was the bad influence always getting in trouble with her side remarks and always always finding a way to get injured.
"Ya nobody wants to smell your stinky feet Frey." Sif who can lift anyones spirt with just one of her smiles. Alara had found her with just an oversized sweatshirt that covered her whole body, on the island Andromeda. After setting eyes on the starving Sif, Alara took her back to the ship for Freyja to heal. Ever since that day Sif has bean apart of this crazy thing we call a family.
Smirking at Sif "Now why would I do that Cupcake?" Frey said even as she lowered her feet to the ground and rested her elbows on the table.
"Because then you'll have to clean alllll the grossness off the table"
"Oh, all right, only for you though"
Smiling at the two I looked over to the rest of the crew noticing they too are smiling at the pair but they all looked slightly surprised. I guess I don't smile very often anymore, ever since we left I couldn't take my mind off of her, even though it had only been a week.
"There's a storm coming soon captain." Alara said. Since she's half water faerie she can usually tell when a storm is near. We're all forgotten and abandoned half breeds of something, who had come together to form the family our blood never gave us.
"Everyone prepare for a storm I want Sif below decks with Nova, Freyja, and Morana. Everyone else keep us on track and I got the wheel." As everyone sprung into action I helped out were I could and directed people to there correct posts, as I walked towards the quarter deck.

The storm had finally passed when I saw the flash of light that could only belong to a phoenix. When it saw that I spotted it, it flew down and landed on my shoulder. Smiling I reached my hand up to pet it softly untieing the letter from its leg.
As I walked to my quarters, the bird laid it's head on top of mine. As soon as I walked through the door the Phoenix flew over to my bed and curled up on my pillow. Shaking my head at it I turned to sit at my desk, unrolling the letter, I set it down on my desk.
To my love,
I have started researching Solvieg so I know what you will be up against. Nobody has made it all the way there and back alive so there really isn't much information. But from the little I found there seems to be a series of tests before you get to the center of the island. I don't know what the tests entail but assuming they're all dangerous, please be careful. It's so boring here without you and your crew wrecking havoc all over the kingdom. I miss you, come home soon, please. I love you.
Your love,
DevikaP.S we need to name the phoenix.
Smiling I folded up the piece of parchment and tucked it safely into one of my desk drawers. Finding a pen and a blank piece of parchment I started to write my response.
To my little goddess,
Yes, the trip will be dangerous, I knew that when I made the deal with your father. Thank you for finding that information, we will make sure everyone is healthy and rested, before entering Solvieg. I trust that you will make just as much mischief in the kingdom as we did. Please get some rest, since I know you haven't gotten much lately. Now for the phoenix. Since they burn themselves every year, we should name her Seraphina, for the burning ones. I love you, I'll be back as soon as I can. I promise.
Your captain,
CordeliaSighing I turned towards Seraphina "I miss her, could you take this back to the kingdom tomorrow morning, you need some rest." She nodded "and that is my pillow." I'm response she just snuggled down more.
Shaking my head I got one of my blankets from underneath my bed, and rearranged it at the foot of the bed like a tiny nest. "There, you can sleep here." Moving under the covers I blew out the candle next to my bed. "Goodnight, Seraphina."
I'll be home soon my little goddess.
