Two months. I have never felt time crawl by as slow as it has been. Why must we have these awfully boring counsel meetings. It feels like my father holds these to simply torture me.

"We are in need to find a prince for our dear princes ." My father who of which insists that I marry a prince, though each time he suggests such an atrocious thing It makes me what to gag.

I glared at my father meeting his gaze, "No." My answer seems to anger him, witch makes sense since everything angers him. Wether it be the cooks making a dinner he doesn't want to the maids walking to fast.

Slamming his fist against the table I watched as everyone jumped in there seats. "You will marry a prince, whether you are forced to or not is entirely up to you." Without moving his gaze from mine "Council dismissed."

Silently I watched as the council men all skerries or the room. Turning back to my father I smirked, "Cordelia will return, and when she takes the throne she will make you kneel to her begging for her mercy." My smirk grew as I watched a flicker of fear cross over my fathers face before his emotionless mask slipped back into place.

Turning on my heal I walked out the door before he could say anything. Walking down the hall I saw Finley, the captain of the guard  kicking off a door he was leaning on and start walking next to me. "Well somebody's mad." Grunting in response witch only further proved his assumption.

Looking over at him, "Well you would be to if your father keeps insisting on you to marry and forcing you to sit through hours of extremely boring meetings."

"Ya, ok well do you want to go to the training ring to show off to the other warriors
and of course blow of some steam."

I had been training ever since I got jumped by a man from a bar I went to. Since I had no experience in the past with fighting I was completely defenseless. Thankfully Cordelia had been at the bar with her crew when she caught the man dragging me out into the ally next to the bar. After saving me she stated the obvious in her usual Nanak telling me that I really need sine practice. She has been training e ever since.

"Sure I just have to go change."

Walking into my room I found Seraphina
sitting on my bed with parchment tied to its leg. Smiling at the bird I untied the note. Sitting next to the bird I untied the note.

Dear Devika,

We are just crossing the border of your kingdom as I write to you. It has been smooth sailing, and the sunsets are beautiful I wish you were here with me. I miss you so much and I know you miss me. So for your birthday I got you something. Since we have traveled so far I don't know when you will get this, but you can only open the present on your birthday. I hope you have fun with it.

P.S. It's in the bottom drawer in the far corner of your closet.

Smiling I set the parchment on the bed as I stood up. Wondering what she could have got me I walked to the closet to get changed. After changing I crouched down in front of the drawer, my curiosity got to me and I opened it.

Nothing was there. Searching through the clothes my hand hit a small box. Smiling in triumph I grabbed the box and stood up. Looking at the box there was something written on it.

Do not open this box until August 26th. If you do not comply you will get no more good morning kisses.

She must really not want me to open this box. I hope she knows that writing that only makes me want to open it more. I guess I should wait, sighing I walked out of the closet.

Grabbing one of the soft blankets hanging from a chair, I set it up on the bed for Seraphina to sleep on.

"You rest I bet you're tiered, I'll be back soon with some food."

Opening the door I'm meet face to face with Fin, "You ready to kick some ass?" He said with a smirk.

Smiling I nodded "Of course I am."

As we walked through the hall hour feet echoed against the polished stone floor, my thoughts wandered to the first day I meet Cordelia. The city was bustling with activity that day since it was the night of the summer market, I had taken Fin with me into the city for some chocolate and other things but chocolate being the most important. After visiting the best chocolate store in the kingdom we had made it back out to the crowd. I had just opened my chocolates when someone ran into me nocking my chocolate on the ground. "My chocolate" I pouted looking at the already melting chocolate on the ground. There was an unintelligible mumble coming from my right something like "gods she's hot" or something like that, witch sounds right it's Fin.

Looking up I'm meet with the most beautiful person I have ever seen, she had long dark brown hair and the most beautiful grey eyes. That were also looking me up and down "I'm sorry beautiful, that was my fault could I by chance repay you some how?" I'm pretty sure my mouth hit the floor, she called me beautiful had she ever looked in the mirror?
An elbow to my ribs shook me out of my stupor, "Yes of course that's fine." Smiling the misterius lady took my hand and lead me around the city.

As we were about to part ways I remembered I didn't know her name, "What's your name ?"

"Cordelia."

For some reason that sounded familiar, "I'm Devika."

Smiling she said "I know" and before I could say anything else she turned around and walked away.

"She'll be back soon." Shocked I looked over at Finley in question. "You always get this far of dreamy look when you think of her." He said shrugging.

Smiling I shake my head "You know me far to well." Bumping my shoulder against his I said "You know if you ever got away I'd have to kill you for all the important information you have, can't have you spreading all my secrets around."

"You'll have to catch me first." He said taking off at a sprint.

Laughing I ran after him, running the rest of the way to the training ground I got there to Fin leaning against the fence to the outdoor arena. "Slow poke."

Shaking my head I said, "Ready to kick some ass?" Grabbing a pair of daggers I ran after him.
