It seemed to be a normal, warm, crowded day on Coruscant. Well, in it's Underground, or Invisible, Sector, where Aleckina and her 'family' lived.

Young Miss Aleckina Tadeef sat hidden in the closet of her home. Her Grandparents, as she called the old couple who were raising her, had seen a battalion of Stormtroopers headed in the direction of their home. Wanting to keep the young girl safe, they told her to hide.

Soon, Aleckina heard the Stormtroopers entering her home. She slid carefully further back in the closet, trying to hide herself fully behind Grandfather's factory clothes.

"Where is the Miraluka?" a loud voice asked.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Grandfather answered.

"I thought the Miralukans were gone," Grandmother added.

"Don't lie to us. There has been gossip in the streets about a strange girl living in this house. It has to be her," the voice, assumably a Stormtrooper, answered.

"No one else is here. Just me and my wife," Grandfather said stubbornly.

"Search the house," the Stormtrooper ordered his men.

Aleckina could hear the house being searched. Glass was shattered and wood was splintered. Everything, it seemed, had been destroyed. Everything, that is, outside her little closet.

In the light that streamed under the door, she could see someone standing on the other side of the door. The door opened.

Please don't see me. Please! Aleckina thought. Suddenly, strong hands yanked her up and out of the closet. The tight grip on her wrist would definitely leave a mark.

"Sir, I've found her," the Stormtrooper called to his commander.

The assumed leader of the band of troopers looked at her, then to Grandfather. "You live alone, huh?" he said coldly. Looking back at Aleckina, he added, "I was informed that the Miralukans were without eyes."

"They are. Unless you're only half-Miralukan," Aleckina spat. She figured she had already been caught as soon as they walked in. She had seen it earlier, through a vision. She thought they were going to kill her right there. She was wrong.

"Take her to the ship," the Stormtrooper ordered her captor.

Aleckina's hands were bound behind her back and her captor lead her away, gripping her upper arm tightly. Almost as soon as the door to her home closed behind her, blaster fire could be heard from inside the small house. Aleckina gasped, stopping short, tears coming to her eyes.

"Keep moving," the trooper ordered her.

...

The transport ship that took Aleckina away from her home was soon docked onto an Imperial Star Destroyer. She was locked up in a cell and left alone for a long time. Sighing, the girl sat on the floor and closed her eyes, slipping into the world of meditation. She needed to clear her mind. Too much had happened and she was losing focus; something that was essential for any Miralukan.
