"So, Autumn, who's your favorite driver on the grid?" Lando asks me. I smile.
"You're a close second, but you're not my favorite." I laugh.
"Let me guess that tall idiot behind us is your favorite?" He asks. I just smile.
"That's fine. This beauty next to me has me as her favorite," He says, putting an arm around D. Her face goes bright pink.
"Well, you're more than just her favorite driver," I state a smirk creeping onto my face.
Her hand stings my arm. I laugh.
"Don't worry D. Your not to bad yourself" He smirks.
"Keep it in your pants you two. You met less than an hour ago" Daniel reminds them.
"Was about to say" I agree.
"This is the last turn. This walk didn't last as long as I wanted it to" D states.
"Don't worry we can catch up later beautiful" Lando says to D before grabbing Daniel by the shirt and pulling him away.
"What the fuck has happened to our lives? It feels like we're living in a dream" I state.
"You can say that again. Lando was flirting with me the whole time we were walking" She smiles.
"I noticed" I laugh.
"You saying Daniel wasn't flirting with you?"
"Nope just getting to know each other" I lie.
"Mhm sure" She laughs.
"Hey guys" Charlotte says walking back toward us. "Sorry I just left you, I needed to get footage for the YouTube channel."
"No worries McLaren unboxed is one of my favorite things to watch on YouTube" I state.
"Awesome are you ready to go around the track again?"
"Not on foot" D laughs.
"No of course not. We're gonna meet up with Emma Gilmore for some hot laps"
"No way?" I ask I'd seen this before on the teams YouTube channel and thought It was awesome.
"You'll just have to go through safety procedures and then we'll get you in the car" She smiles.
"Let's get going then" D smiles.
We follow Charlotte and she introduces us to Emma before we sit through a quick safety brief.
"Okay so we just going to do a quick lunch before we put you in the car with the drivers. I'll see you guys back here at-" She pauses looking at her watch. "Three O'clock"
"Okay awesome" D and me both say before walking away.
We go to where we were shown we could get food. I order a burger and fries while D gets a Cesar salad.
"I should have gotten a burger" D says as our foods dropped off.
"I'll give you a quarter if you give me two strips of chicken" I tell her.
"Deal"
I cut my burger into four pieces and give her one as she passes over the chicken.
I stuff a piece of burger in my mouth and a second later Lando sits down at the table.
"Hey girls" He smiles then points at the guy next to him. "This is Max, My best friend. Mind if we join you?"
"Only if you don't flirt with my best friend the whole time" I joke causing Max to laugh. Lando and D's face both go red.
"So what is on the calendar?" Max asks Lando.
"Hot laps with the ladies" Lando says.
"Wait you're the driver?" I ask.
"Me and Mr Riccardo" Lando smiles.
"Cool" I smile.
"Don't worry you can come with me if your sick of Daniel" Lando jokes.
"Please he's actually mature" I laugh and Max joins.
"Your laughing a bit to much Max, I can spill secrets" Lando says and Max immediately shuts up. Causing D to laugh.
The boys order food and we all have lunch together. I get to know Max and Lando a bit more and their dynamic is almost the same as mine and D's. Lando and I are the goof balls while D and Max are the ones that keep them from doing dumb shit. They were cool. After lunch we all walked to where the hot laps were going to be. We saw Daniel and he joined us on our way. Talking to Max. I kept catching him looking at me and smiling. "Dumbass" I say to myself while shaking my head.
