Epilogue:

ONE AND A HALF MONTHS LATER:

We've been sitting outside around the Bond Fire for about five hours now. I watch as Autumn walks over to me passing me a cup of hot chocolate. I move my arm and allowing her to sit down on my lap. Mostly everyone has retired to their rooms now. The last of them being Scotty and Chloe, who tell us they gonna go sleep. 

"Have a good nights rest you two" Scotty says wrapping his arm around Chloe and walking up stairs. 

"You too James" Autumn calls after him. 

"Thanks Nights" He calls back.

I smile at their nicknames for each other. 

Autumn turns back to me and moves a curl out of my eye's. 

She looks so perfect. 

"I wanna ask you something" I smile. 

She smiles back. "Anything Danny"

"I've been thinking about this for a while now, and Autumn, You've made me the happiest I've been in a long time. You were there when I announced the departure from McLaren and You put up with all my weird moods. I don't ever want to lose you. And I think it's about time I officially ask you to be my girlfriend." I say the last part my eye's connecting with hers. I watch as her eye's start filling with tears.

"Don't cry" I say putting my hand on her cheek.

"I'm just so Happy Daniel. You've made me the best version of myself and I'll forever be grateful for you. I'd love to be your girlfriend , If you'll have me"

"I want nothing more my love" I say pulling her in for a kiss. It's soft and sweet, and it fills all the holes in my heart. 

"I love you" I hear her whisper as our lips disconnect.

"I love you too Autumn. More than you'll ever know"

ONE YEAR LATER:

"James come on, tell me where your taking me" I beg him again. 

"Sorry Nights, No can do. I have taken an oath." He says lifting his one hand. 

"Both hands on that steering wheel please" I say.

"Your so bossy"

"I'll take that as a complement." I smile.

I don't even realize when the car come's to a stop. I look out and see a big oak tree, The same tree I had told Danny was were I wrote all my stories under while I was at school. With what looks like the silhouette of a person. Scotty get's out and comes to open my door. I take his hand as he guides me out the car.  When I'm standing on my feet I turn to scotty. 

"Scotty, what is this?" 

"Why don't you ask the man himself" He says and nods in the direction of the silhouette, which I now see is Danny. 

Scotty let's go of my hand and  ushers me forward. I see now there is a path of roses. He's going to propose I'm calling it now. I follow the roses, that lead the path to him. 

"Danny" I smile, as I reach him.

"Hey my Love" He says taking my hand and kissing my cheek.

"What is this?" I ask 

"I have something to say but you're not allowed to interrupt me." He says. I nod, words not forming. 

"Autumn. I want to spoil you, encourage and love you for the rest of my life. I want to be their beside you as your fulfilling your dreams- Encouraging you every single step of the way. I want to make you laugh when your having a bad day. I want to make you fall deeper and deeper in love with me, like you make me everyday. And I love you Autumn. I love you enough to fight for you. I love you enough to miss you incredibly when we're apart, no matter what length of time it's for. And regardless of the distance. I love you enough to believe in our relationship, to stand by it through the worst of times, to have faith in us, and never ever give up on us. Autumn I love you enough to want to spend the rest of my life with you, to be there for you when you need, or want me. I love you so much that I don't want to live a life without you. I love you so much Autumn, enough to-" He gets on his knees and pulls out a ring. "-Enough to get on my knee and ask for you to make me the happiest man in the world, by simply saying yes. So Autumn Nights, will you marry me?" He finishes says. 

I feel a tear run down my face and I'm not afraid to cry. I start nodding. "Yes" I finally get a word out. He slips the ring on my hand and I stare into his eyes. He stands up again and pulls me in for a kiss. This is what I've always wanted. This is where I'm meant to be. This is my home. Daniel is my Home. 

NOVEMBER 2030

I sit down on the chair besides Autumn, in the place that used to be my escape. I look out at the sunset. 

"I always forget how much I love it up here" I smile.

"It's peaceful" Autumn says. 

I look at her, It's Amazing to see how far we've come. From me reading a stupid fanfic, to Lando getting her invited to the paddock, to our first date, first kiss, first time. To me asking her to marry me, to us getting married. To opening her Dream Bakery, To that ever sweet moment when she found out she wasn't just pregnant, but pregnant with twins. A boy and A Girl like she always wanted. To that evening when those lives were brought to the world. To getting our own house in Monaco. To finding out she was pregnant for the second time. To me winning the championship two years in a row. 

I would have never had this life if it wasn't for her. She deserves everything this world has to offer, I'm just glad she decided to do so with me by her side. 

"Daddy! Daddy! Max scored a one minute lap time" I hear come from behind me, and see Summer, my little girl come running towards me, Max her brother following shortly behind.
She runs and jumps on my lap.

"Summer I wanted to tell mom and dad!" Max says.

"Maxie, I'm so proud of you! You did such a good job." Autumn says and Max goes and sits on her lap. 

The kids start talking to each other and I lean over to Autumn. 

"I love you and this life we have" I put my arm around Summer and my other on her stomach. 

"Me too my love."

She leans in and we kiss. A kiss I've come to find peace in.
