The following days were spent with stolen moments whenever they had the chance. Marcus also spent every night in Alice's rooms.

Everyone in court was wondering just who was this girl who stole his heart. There were many who were jealous. Alice wasn't going to lie, she did feel bad about seeing some of them actually in tears. However, she couldn't control the fact that they wanted each other.

The fact that Marcus wanted her.

Sneaking around scared her, but also excited her at the same time. It turned her on even more when they'd make out in a corridor, knowing that at any moment they could be caught.

What made it very difficult was keeping it a secret, especially from Henry. Especially whenever he would ask Marcus questions.

"Who is this lady taking up all of your time?" Henry asked Marcus with a laugh at lunch.

Charles smirked and shook his head in amusement at the king, going back to eating his breakfast. Meanwhile, the girl with them blushed and looked everywhere but at them.

"Must be a good piece of ass for you to actually spend the night."

Alice cringed at his words. She swore, sometimes they completely forgot she was there. That's how she usually knew everything that went on in their lives. A little more than what she wanted or needed to know.

"She's pretty amazing," Marcus trailed off with a goofy grin on his face, one that did not go unnoticed by anyone at the table.

"Well, come on. Tell us about it!" Henry demanded as he laughed aloud. For a second Alice's face paled. She pretended her half eaten fruit was way more interesting than their conversation.

Marcus quickly shook his head.

"No, not her. I respect her too much for that."

Charles and Henry let out various whistles and began to tease him. Finally, Henry clapped Marcus on the back and smiled seriously.

"She must be really special, dear friend."

"She is," he smiled down at this lap, letting his thoughts wander to Alice. Charles, who was always observant, discreetly looked between his friend and Alice, finally putting the pieces together. However, he decided to mind his own business. He knew Marcus would never do anything to hurt Alice. Especially since he wasn't really one to talk, either since he was married to Mary, Henry and Alice's sister.

Which brings the couple to now, making out in one of the hidden passages they used to play in as kids. She let her mind wander to the morning he told her there wasn't much he can do until he brought her to his chambers, and she kept wondering when that would happen.

Marcus could sense her distraction, because he pulled away and stroked her hair gently.

"What's going on in that head of yours, baby?"

He smirked upon seeing her now reddened cheeks, so he took it upon himself to trail light, feathery kisses up her neck. Her breath hitched, making it even more difficult to respond.

"I- jesus," she cursed out when he moved her necklace out of the way to nibble on his mark.

"Tell me, Princess. What are you thinking about?"

"Your chambers," she managed to choke out. He halted his movements and gripped her tighter. Now, it was his turn to be flustered.

"What about my chambers?" He asked. He was hoping that she was referring to what he said, but he didn't want to assume and scare her off. He wanted Alice to decide when she was ready, when she'd finally let her curiosity get the best of her.
