Jack jogged through the park at night. The sky was clear with bright stars and a full moon that provided all the light he needed. So far it's been two miles and it's gotten cold enough that he could see his breath. It was deadly quiet and the only thing he could hear was the wind, rustling leafs and branches, and his sneakers on pavement. Jack started slowing down and eventually stoped, hands on knees and taking deep ragged breaths. When he got his breathing to stabilize he looked up and instead of seeing a deserted park, he saw a giant wolf with glowing yellow eyes and white fur. The wolf was about as tall and long as a motorcycle, and it's teeth so sharp they glinted in the moonlight. They looked like they could rip flesh with ease. It growled and barked sending slobber flying. Jack took careful steps back trying not to seem threatening with his arms raised and palms held towards it as if it would keeps the creature away. The wolf just growled and stared straight at him without moving as if looking for a weakness. Then without warning it jumped and bit Jack in his right bicep. Jack fell to the floor with a scream and started punching the wolf wildly. The wolf kept it's jaw locked around his bicep moving it's head back and forth trying to rip it off. Jack kept screaming in pain until he got a rock from the ground next to him and hit the wolf hard on it's nose. The wolf let go with a wine of pain before it started growling in anger. Jack was on his back trying to crawl to a big branch that was to the side to try and protect himself. Just as he reached it he heard a loud growl and looked back to see the wolf pounce. Before the wolf could reach him, Jack gripped the branch tightly in his fist and swung as hard as he could. The thick branch hit the wolf square in the face breaking it in two, and the wolf was send flying to the side. When it got up it limped from side to side dazed with half it's face bleeding. It shook it's head from side to side as if to clear it before it looked up at Jack with great anger before it jumped into the bushes and disappeared. Once Jack was sure the wolf was gone he got up with a groan. He touched his arm to see how it was but as soon as he did he clenched his teeth as he tried to hold back tears and a scream of pain. Jack took a couple of steps forward but almost fell, he was losing a lot of blood, and it was making him feel dizzy. Some way he made outside the park and he saw a man walking down the street. Jack was so dizzy and light headed he could barely call out for help but lucky for him the man must have seen him because he started running in his direction. As soon as the man was in arms reach of him Jack went limp and was caught, just as darkness seem to surround him he heard the man call for an ambulance. Then all was quiet as he passed out of blood loss.
