Chapter one

*Young Sophie*

I was running through the woods as my brothers and I were playing hide and seek like we did most days.

"Come on out darling." I hear Kol say, I could hear the smirk in his voice. I stopped at an old looking building and i ran inside, as I hid under the bed and held my breath.

"Where are you, soph." I hear my brother elijah say and I held in my laughter just as rebekah got under the bed, hiding next to me.

"Where are they Nik?" Kol wonders as they all meet up outside of the building and I wanted to giggle and run so bad.

"Come on guys, spread out and find them." I hear Nik say.

"Maybe they are in this old looking building or they ran back home." Elijah says as I try and stop my sister from giggling.

"Little sisters, come on out." I hear Nik yell out to us and i peek out of the bed to see my brothers feet by the door.

"Finally you found us, we've both been hiding in the woods for hours." I say to him

"We would have found you guys earlier if you were easier to find." Says Kol

"How are you so good?" Elijah asked

"Come on out now." Nik says. I sigh as rebekah and I crawl out from under the bed and walk out of the building.

Kol picks me up on his shoulders and twirled me around as I giggled. They all smile at me walking back home. Kol set me down and I ran to Nik as I made him fall down causing him to chuckle.

"Hey mummy." I said hugging her as she crossed her arms at me sternly but she hugged me back and kissed my head.

"Why are you dirty?" She fussed at me

"Sorry mummy." I apologised to her. "Sweetheart I told you not to get these clothes dirty and I just had your hair washed." She goes on

"Go and get your sister or brothers to help you with your hair." She says, I nod happily running to go find Kol.

"Kol...." I call once coming near his room and knock on his door. "Yes darling?" He calls out. "Mummy needs you to brush my hair and get the dirt off of my face." I look up at him

"What on earth made you so dirty?" He asked me sternly. "I was under a bed that was covered in dust and dirt." "I say softly

"It's okay darling. I'll fix it." He nodded as he got a cloth and wiped my face before he began to brush my hair.

"There you go darling." He finishes. "Thank you big brother." I smile and hugging him. "My pleasure darling." He says

I ran out of his room when I bumped into my other siblings father mikael as he looked down at me and I back away.

"S-sorry sir." I say scared

"Watch it." He said coldly

I ran into Niks arms as tears streamed down my face and he held onto me tightly as he wiped away my tears.

"Your okay love." He said softly

"H-he's so mean." I said sniffing into his chest

"I know." He nodded

My brothers and sisters tucked me into bed after dinner and kissed my forehead as Kol patted me to sleep.

I woke up the next morning and jumped out of my bed getting into my day clothes and then ran out of the front door.

I couldn't find my older brother as I ran through the woods looking for him when I ran into kol as I hug him.

"Where's Nik?" I asked softly

"I'm not sure darling." He shrugged

"Niklaus where have you gone?" I call out to my older brother. "My turn to hide today love! You can come and find me." He responds

I look up into the trees and smile. I had always been a fan of nature I'd sit and pick flowers with beks for hours.

I hear giggling, and catch sight of blonde hair in the bushes moving around. "I found you brother." I call out.

"Nope. I'm not coming out little sister, you'll have to come and get me." He smiles, then pokes his head out and runs.

I went to chase after him when something growls at me and I tried to run but tripped over a stick and I screamed.

"Sophie!" Nik screams out

I close my eyes waiting for the wolf to bite me but a pair of arms grab me and pick me off of the ground quickly.

"Darling! Your not to play in the woods without the rest of us." I hear a concerned voice. I open my eyes and see Kol as I hug him tightly. "Kol." I whisper

I feel a large pair of hands pick me up out of kols arms and I look up to see my brother, "I'm so sorry love I didn't mean to do that." He whispers

1500 bc

I was waking in the garden when I spotted Kol by the river and ran for him as I jumped on his back and he giggled.

"Hello darling." He smiled

He pulled me down onto his lap and kissed my head as I smiled at him, kissing his cheek as I sat up and got off him.

"Come on, let's go join the others." He says

He put his hand out and I grabbed hold of it as he pulled me to my feet.

We walked into the party and I was talking to my older sister when my favourite song came on and i twirled.

"Look at her." Kol chuckled

"I'm glad she's enjoying herself." Nik smiled

"She's a sweet girl." Elijah says

I looked over at my older brothers and they were all smiling at me.

1998

I was dancing with Kol when my older brother Nik came over.

"We need to talk." He says sternly
