"Then let me make it upto you, I've asked Caroline to get you the cure in a handful of decades when it's time you can go to mystic falls and get it. then if you no longer wish to be a vampire it's your choice." He says

She hugged them both and then she walked away as I stayed.
"Go on. I don't want your last memory of me to be my death." He says
"I intend to die by your side." Elijah smiles
"No. please." I sobbed at both of them
"Elijah.... What if there is no peace after this, just darkness." Nik asks
"We will face it together." Elijah said sadly
"I didn't deserve the love that you have given me brother but I'm grateful." Nik says
"It's been a glorious ride, Niklaus." Elijah cried
"It's been my greatest honour." He smiled
"I love you both so much." I said as tears fell

I took a shallow breath, my lips moving almost so silently as I muttered a spell and held my hand on his grave.
It had been almost a whole decade since I had left mystic falls behind and even though when I had to go to New Orleans, things hadn't been exactly how I thought they'd be.
This had been the best decision I had ever made for myself. Walking into the compound that day, I had found my family was falling apart but that didn't mean I'd stop helping for a way to get the love of my life back.
I would never stop trying despite my sisters and my older brother not liking it, I had to try and get Kai back for me.
