Lucifer paced in front of the window overseeing LA. His mind kept going in circles to what Gabriel had stated. Why must they always threaten his family? Why couldn't they just threaten his brother? Or him? Why must it always be Chloe and the children?
"Lucifer please sit down." Amenadiel mumbled massaging the oncoming headache. "You are giving me a headache."
"Oh, do forgive me, brother." Lucifer sassed. "I am sure your head is much more important than keeping my son with his mother here on earth!"
"All I am saying is sit down, so we can work this out." Amenadiel replied. "Stressing out and yelling will do nothing in our favor."
"He is right Lucifer." Maze stood by the bar, serving herself a glass. "We need to regroup and we need help."
Lucifer plopped himself down on the couch. "And who do you believe will be able to help? We already tried the hell hounds and that worked out wonderfully."
Maze rolled her eyes. "Didn't you just get a pack of angels?"
"Daniel and pals?" Lucifer pulled a face. "What good could they possibly do?"
Maze slammed her glass on the bar. "Alright, I know the threat of having Angelous taken, has put you in a foul mood. But we are trying to help you. So, stop with the attitude and actually think like the king of hell you are."
Lucifer gapped at her, blinking a few times. "And you say I have the attitude." Reaching for his drink, he slowly started coming up with an idea. "What does our mother want?"
Amenadiel frowned. "What?"
"What does mother want? What is she so hell-bent on taking?"
Maze shrugged, swirling her drink around. "Her place back up..." She made a swirl with her finger, pointing up. "There."
"Exactly." Lucifer grinned. "Why not use that to lure her out of her hiding hole."
"How do you plan on making that happen?" Amenadiel asked.
Lucifer gave a small growl. "With the help of our siblings of course."
"We're listening." Maze urged him to continue.
"Use our brothers to offer her a new home." Lucifer flopped on the couch with a proud smile.
Maze scoffed. "That is too simple. What's the catch?"
Amenadiel sighed, running his forehead. "We need Azriel's blade and the rest of the parts to crest the flaming sword."
"The one that Lucifer use to stab Uriel with. That blade?" Maze laughed. "Didn't you destroy it?"
"No, I have it here in the penthouse." Lucifer said behind his glass, adverting his gaze from them both.
"You what?!" Amenadiel hissed. "You were supposed to destroy it!"
The devil himself rolled his eyes. "Destroying one of the three pieces is not an easy task brother. I had thought of burying it with Uriel, but I did not wish to take the risk of someone finding it."
"So we have one piece, the blade." Maze counted. "We need two more, which are what?"
"The medallion of life." Amenadiel replied.
Lucifer raised his glass with a slight hum. "And the key."
"And they are where?" Maze asked, looking hopeful between the two angels.
Sharing a look with his brother, Amenadiel shrugged. "Father hid the medallion somewhere here on earth."
"But-" Lucifer suddenly had a grin appear on his lips. "With the blade here on earth, the medallion must have been activated. We just need to locate it."
