It's day two of running away.
Nobody has looked for me.I'm sitting outside of 7-11. I had just bought a Slurpee. It helps me stay cool during the hot May days. It's been hard living homeless. But I wouldn't dare to go back. In fact, even if my life depended on it. I wouldn't want to go back. I'll be okay on the streets. There are many people asking me if I'd like to go stay with them. I can't trust them. You can't trust anyone in this town. I've been good on food. I still have $20 dollars left.
"Excuse me, miss. But we don't allow bums on our property. Unless you have money. Leave." The manager says, peeking his head out the door.
"Well, kind sir, I'll have you know that I have $20 dollars left. So I can be on your property for as long as I want, until I use all my money." I respond smartly.
"Whatever. " he says rolling his eyes and going back to work. I sigh and slowly stand up.
I needed a shower. I have no idea where to find one. Ok, so I didn't think this through completely. But I'll be fine. I looked around and wondered where I could go next. Oh well. Let's explore.
I walked around town, and found a nice place to sleep for tonight, the park. It's by the high school so I might see kids coming to smoke with their friends or whatever they do nowadays. I sat by a tree and hugged my legs. I feel very lonely. I looked at people passing by and saw a blonde boy. He looked kind of cute to be honest. I wonder if in an alternate universe we're together...

Luke's POVJust got out of school. Thank god. Time to go home and get some sleep. And possibly play my guitar a little. Oh yeah, after I do homework of course. I have to do that or else mum would be upset. I looked at the people hanging out at the park today. I saw this girl. I've seen her before, walking down the halls at school. Hey, wait, she's the one missing right? I slowly approach her and sit in front of her.
"Hey." I look at her but she ignores me.
"I said hellooooo." I wave my hand in front of her.
I didn't realise she had her earphones in.
"Can I help you?" She asks, pulling out an earphone.
"Uh, yes, actually. I was wondering," I paused and looked at her, she began to grow impatient "are you the girl who ran away?"
She laughs and shakes her head, but responds emotionless "Why? What the hell does it matter to you? Go away." Then she puts her earphone back in.
I furrow my eyebrows and stare until she turns over her attention to me again. But miss stubborn doesn't, then what do I do? I yank the earphones out of her ears. She gasps and looks at me.
"What the hell?! You pulled them out at my favourite part, you ass!" She yells.
I just shrug and laugh. She wasn't giving me her attention to me.
"Why the hell would you do that? How would you feel if I did that to you?!" She's acting a bit immature for me doing that. Um, okay?
"I was only trying to be friendly. No need to be so rude about it. I only wanted to help." I roll my eyes and slowly stand up. I don't think I want to help her out anymore...
