It's day three.
I'm running out of money.
But I'm not going back home.

Day three, whoop. I don't think my parents are looking for me. Well, at least someone is, my best friend, Emily. She's been texting me, but I haven't been responding.

My phone lights up and vibrates as I get another text from her.

Text: Seriously, Haley. Where the hell are you?

Again, I don't respond.

Text: If you don't tell me I'm going to cry.

I finally respond.

H: Do you really care that much about where I am?

E: Obviously, I wouldn't be your best friend if I didn't care right?

H: ...I'm at the park.

She didn't respond.

While I was waiting to see if she was coming or not, I started playing music, it took her like 10 or 15 minutes to get here.

"Haley what are you doing? Do you realise how worried I was? You could've died, you could've been kidnapped by some creepy guy and never been found." Emily, my amazing friend,  yells as she walks towards me.

"Wow, yes mom I'm so sorry." I say sarcastically and roll my eyes.

"Look miss, don't give me attitude. I'm here to help you, you're coming home with me." she says sternly, standing in front of me.

I look at her and laugh then stand up.

"Ya know, I'm just upset that you didn't tell me you were running away. You know I'm always here for you and I would've let you stay with me" she says walking to her car and I follow.

"Look I'm sorry okay? I just-I wanted to be alone. I needed time to think and stuff."

"You can have time to think at my house, let's go." She opens the car door for me and I get in.

"Michael is over with his friend, Luke so you can just go to my room if you want."

I groan loud when I hear his name "Why is he there? I hate him and you know that."

"Well," she pauses and laughs "you hate everyone."

"Eh that's true. Sometimes I wonder how we became friends."

She closes the car door and gets in on the drivers side.

"Michael never did anything to you I don't know why you don't like him." She says and starts the car.

I put my seatbelt on and so does she.

"I honestly don't know it's just the way he looks. He looks like a fuckboy-"

She cuts me off "But he's not. He's the most respectful, adorable, handsomest and strongest guy in the world. You don't see that because you just want to keep thinking he's a fuckboy. " After she says that she starts driving to her house.

I awkwardly look out the window.

After driving for a few minutes we get to her house. She parks in the driveway and turns the car off.

I looked out the window and see Michael and that blonde boy who came up to me at the park.

"Oh great, staying here was the best idea in the world" I say under my breath.

She looked at me and laughed "you'll have the time of your life with Michael and Luke here."
