Chapter I

~3rd POV~

A girl with h/l h/c locks is seen on her phone, dangling her feet over a low cliff with a lake at the bottom of it. She wore a black shirt with a white opened buttonup and some dark blue jeans along with tall black boots with silver belting and strings along with some spikes. She also had black fingerless gloves on. Her e/c eyes looked up from the screen of her phone to her best friend running up to her with a whole lot of daisies in her arms. She was smiling brightly, her baby blue eyes shining as her golden locks bounced with her jumpy steps. She sat down besides the h/c headed girl who had a resting bitch face at the moment, dark brown eyeshadow sorrounding her eyes making them darker and scarier.

"Y/n! Y/n! Look how many I've found!" Lyra giggled and started making flowercrowns.
"it's spring. Of course you'd find a shit ton of flowers." y/n spoke, the right corner of his lips tugging slightly up in a small smirk. Y/n's voice was deeper than what you'd expect but nevertheless, her voice was smooth.

Y/n backed away from the cliff so her feet wouldn't be dangling off of it then he crossed them, watching her best friend make multiple identical flowercrowns. Lyra was very innocent and Y/n had to protect her most of the time.

Y/n pulled her phone out yet again, turning on her playlist of mixed songs(both her type of music and Lyra's) before putting her phone face down on the grass and helping Lyra with the flowercrowns

They were playing hide and go seek. Lyra was seeking meanwhile Y/n was hiding. The h/c haired girl was in a tree on her phone while Lyra was walking around aimlessly trying to find her. Y/n suddenly heard a twig snap. 'it can't be Lyra..' she thought and jumped down from her hiding spot before going to find her best friend. When Y/n did she grabbed Lyra's hand and held her behind herself so she didn't dissappear, before walking in the way where he heard that twig snapped. While it was probably just an animal, Y/n was one paranoid fucker. Confident though. She had to check it out otherwise she'd be curious for way too long and she'd do something stupid.

"wait what's wrong?" Lyra asked as she was basically dragged somewhere.
"heard a twig snap. I doubt it was you and i don't know if it was an animal but I have to check. I'm not leaving you alone" y/n said quickly. She was always the analytic type. She observed everything and knew everything. If something was out of her calculations she had to check and learn it. "Y/n you're being paranoid! It was probably a—"

Another twig snapped, interrupting Lyra. Y/n stopped in her tracks and held her best friend close. "bunny.." Lyra finished her sentence and let a tense silence fill the air. Y/n looked around, listening for anything that could be alerting in any dangerous way.
After a few seconds Y/n took a step forward but just as she did, she bumped into someone. She backed away and held Lyra behind her own body. She didn't dare let her go.

"woah take it easy" the guy infront of them said and smiled. Fake. "I'm Riley" Y/n was on the taller side,standing at a crisp 5'11 while Lyra was 5'3 and Riley was about 5'10. So she looked infront of herself and glared suspiciously at the guy infront of the two women. Y/n didn't trust the guy at all. So she kept Lyra behind herself. "uh huh. What do you want" y/n said in a firm, deep tone. "oh nothing I just found you two here! I promise.." Riley said, the last part sounding too good to be true. Promise. What a joke.

"riiight. Well we gotta go" Y/n spoke quickly and turned around pushing Lyra in front and keeping her close while rushing off.
"wh- hey wait! I just want to be friends with ya'll!" Riley persisted while rushing after them. 'ugh..' y/n mentally groaned and went faster.
But Riley followed and caught up with them quickly. "cmon let's just be friends!" Riley pushed it yet again and before Y/n could do anything, Lyra let out a deep breath she was holding and pushed Y/n away before smiling up at Riley "sure!" she said excitedly.

'that girl is too innocent for her own good..' y/n thought, mentally face-palming before walking up behind Lyra and holding her close while she spoke to the new face. 'if he tries to touch Lyra I will kill him'
