It was a windy day, I was standing outside by the cherry blossom tree behind the school, waiting for Chongyun to arrive, I was going to confess to him today under this tree.
He should be arriving soon, I stand there waiting patiently while the wind blows through my dark blue locks, I turn around and see my Chongyun in the distance, he was walking up to the tree, popsicle in hand, typical yun, I say to myself as I smile, he walks up to me with a blank expression
"Hi yun yun!" I say to him excitedly "Hello Xingqiu, why did you invite me here?" He questions, I stare at his gorgeous face, examining every part it, his delicate and snow white eyelashes, his beautiful light blue eyes, his pretty pink lips."Earth to Xingqiu!" Chongyun shouts. "Ah- sorry sorry!" I look at the ground for a moment and back at him. "Yun yun I brought you here because I wanted to tell you something" I say shyly. "What did you want to tell me?" He asks looking confused. I blush and look him in the eyes. "I- wanted to tell you that... I like you, wait no, I love you Chongyun, and I have for a long time!" He stares at me for a moment and looks at his popsicle, then back at me. "Xingqiu.. I'm sorry but I don't feel the same way."
Hearing those words, it felt like I had been stabbed in the heart 28 times. The one and only person I love and care for doesn't feel the same way.. I laugh nervously and look at the ground in embarrassment. "Heh- I should've expected that, just forget I ever said that alright?" I say while scratching the back of my neck. "Actually Xingqiu, I don't think I can be friends with someone who's in love with me, I'm sorry but I don't think we should be friends anymore." With that he walks away, not giving me time to react. What did he just say? He's joking right? He's just kidding right???
I fall to my knees as I feel tears streaming down my face. What just happened? We're not- friends anymore? All because of that confession, I suddenly start feeling nauseous as if I could vomit at any given moment, everything started to turn blurry, then I eventually saw nothing but black.
I suddenly jolt awake covered in sweat. It was just a nightmare, thank goodness.. I reach to touch my face, I was actually crying in my sleep. That nightmare felt way too real. As I'm recollecting my thoughts on the events that just happened in my nightmare I hear my phone buzz. It was a message from Chongyun

Sorry 😭 I woke up late, I'll be out in a minute!!
After I sent that text I jumped out of bed and started searching for something decent to wear, I pull out a dark blue sweater vest and a short sleeved white button up with a peter pan collar, I also spot some light wash jeans lying around, I guess I have my outfit for today. I dash into the bathroom and start rapidly brushing my uneven hair, to be fair it only looked that way because my aunt decided we should have matching haircuts for whatever reason.
