Chapter 11: A Beast! In love?

Far away, in a cave. A monstrous Beast lay asleep along with a friend by its side. The Beast began to sniff the air and slowly began to open its droopy eyes. It stood up on all fours. It shook its head to get rid of the sleepiness. Then, it began to slowly walk out of the cave. The full moonlight shone at the Beasts' eyes. As it walked out, It stood up again, but not like how most animals would...

It stood up on its hind legs.

The Beast revealed its full height as the nights breeze hit its warm but matted fur. The Beasts' quills was the color of the dark blue night itself. It had long sharp claws, horrifying fangs, spikes poking out of the bottom of their shoes. But the most frightening of all, was the Beasts' shiny, emerald eyes.

"Hey, don't just leave me in there without telling me!"

Out came its friend from the cave. It had wings and was quite small. The Beast didn't look back to see its flying friend. It just kept quiet and stared at the moon that had beautiful stars surrounding it. The Beast winced a little when it saw the moon though.

"What are you looking at? The stars! Oh how beautiful they look!

Out of the blew, the Beast talked.

"No, Chip. I'm not worried about the stars."

"Then what?" asked Chip.

The Beast inhaled through his nose and sighed.

"You know how I've talked to you about kingdoms that this forest is surrounding?"

"Yeah?"

"There is one in particular that has an event at such time that i'd like to show you. Follow me"

The Beast lowered itself to be on all fours. Then, it ran at such speed no one would even see him. Only the wind that the Beast threw behind him would scare people. Chip followed with impressive speed aswell, maybe because of how small he was.

They ran and ran until they have left the enchanted forest. The Beast screeched to a stop. They both ended up at the edge of a cliff and the Beast walked closer to the edge, but made sure nothing would crumble and fall.

"Woah..." whispered Chip.

The cliff was quite close to the kingdom the Beast has led Chip to. The Beast and Chip laid their eyes on a beautiful white brick castle. The kingdom was guarded with impressively high walls, but the cliff in the hill was way higher than that, so they could see the castle with ease.

"That, my friend." The Beast said.

Chip looked towards the Beast that had his full attention on the well lit kingdom.

"Is Rubeus Kingdom."

The Beast smiled as he said that, like if it were apart of him.

Chip's mouth dropped as the Beast said that.

"You mean, that Rubeus Kingdom..?"

"Yes, Chip. The Legendary 'Rubeus Kingdom' "

Chip's eyes widened. He then turned his attention back to the castle.

"Wait, why are people standing at the gate?" asked Chip.

The Beast looked at what Chip was pointing at.

"Today is Queen Ailinda Rose's birthday."

The Beast then frowned. Chip noticed this and asked,

"Hey, what's wrong?"
