"Miss wills" the voice shouted from behind me. It was raspy and there was a hint of confusion, was it because they thought I was someone else? or was it because they were wondering what I was doing here? Before all of these thoughts even communicated with my brain I jumped back in fear as tears ran down my face, someone was following me.
A heavy hand lay against my arm as I flew it back punching the person in the nose.

"Fuck!" There was a silence after this was shouted and then a grunt. My face frowned as I recognised the voice but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I scrambled around my pocket to try and find my phone, when I found it there was no hesitation I turned on my flash in an instant to see who this was.

"Theo?!" I shouted partly with relief but partly with confusion.

"Oh fuck, I'm so sorry, I didn't know it was you. I thought someone was following me" I pleaded to him as I looked at his perfect blood cover nose, he held it in pain.

"Theo?" he questioned as a strange look grew on his face.

"I'm sorry Mr Holden I don't know why I called you by your first name that was wired".

It fell silent for what seemed like forever as he just looked me up and down with an inquisitive look. He grinned and chuckled a little breaking the silence and moving his hand from his damaged nose

"I shouldn't of scared you I'm sorry, I deserve this" he said chuckling again.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned, I wasn't sure what I wanted his answer to be. A part of me hoped it was because he was just on a late night walk and saw I was lost, because if I knew that he came to make sure I was okay after leaving the school it would mean that he cares, I can't be okay with that, can I?.

He was silent for a second. I coughed a little breaking the silence and then he answered.

"I saw you leave school late when I did and I wanted to make sure you got home
safe"

'Fuck' I thought to myself. I have a hard time controlling myself around people that care about me, I end up loosing myself trying to make them happy, I can't.

"Thank you" I said genuinely, but also stumbling over my own naïveté.

And then he asked the question, the big question. Not 'will you marry me' or 'do you love me too' but "Do you want a lift home?".

Little did I know but this lift home changed everything.

"If it's not to much trouble" I hesitantly agreed with a half smile.

"Not at all" he spoke charmingly. I didn't understand why he was being nice to me now? What happened to that prick he was being only this morning? It didn't make sense, one minute he is nasty and the next he wants to make sure I'm okay. Why?.

He led me to his car, passed the woods and into the schools parking lot.
He opened the door for me while holding his bleeding nose in one hand, I hesitantly climbed in head first before I knew it he had closed the door behind me. I placed my bag on the floor and tried to get as comfortable as possible considering the circumstances. He sat in the drivers seat, man spreading a little, I didn't mind I thought it suited him. He took a second and glanced in my direction, he was looking at me but avoided eye contact.

"Where too?" He asked in a distant tone.

"22 noming road" I spoke quietly, almost like a whisper, I think he could tell I was extremely nervous.

"I know where that is" he spoke proudly, very confidently.
