The ship rocks harshly in the water from a cannon blast. Luffy had decided to test out the cannon, but he hadn't hit anything as Usopp stood behind him. Zoro wakes up from the abrupt blast and sits up, already forgetting the bittersweet dream he had just experienced.
He leans over to look at the slightly younger men, "hey, what's so loud down there?" he asks in an accusatory tone of voice. The duo don't take theirs eyes off of the large rock they missed. Luffy's ever permanent smile only gets wider, "cannon firing practice!" He says, scrunching his features slightly as he lifts a brow and holds his chin, "but it's not going very well.."
From behind him, Usopp finally pipes up, in an overconfident manner. "Like I said, let the expert aim the thing!" He walks up to the cannon and positions it slightly upwards, "judging from the flying distance of the last one, this should do the trick."
The cannonball hits the large rock perfectly, Usopp letting out a loud, "FIRE!" as he lit the fuse. Luffy shouts and praises him, "you hit it the first time! You'll be our sniper, then." Usopp looks over at him, bewildered by his success. "Wait, I don't get to be captain?" Luffy furrows his brows as he shouts at the long-nosed pirate, "NO! I'm still the captain!"
Zoro smiles, shaking his head at the both of them. He stretches, popping some of his joints and finally noticing the black cardigan in lap. He raises a brow, inspecting it. It seemed fairly obvious to him that this belonged to the newest member of the crew, but Zoro doesn't remember why it was now in his possession.
The playful argument between captain and sniper is cut short when (Y/N) calls from the kitchen, "food is done!" Along with cut up fruit, he had made sandwiches for everyone to eat. The crew all clamber up the stairs to the kitchen, Zoro holding the cardigan in one of his hands.
Usopp and Luffy sit on one of the benches next to each other, continuing their argument in a more civil manner. "If you do anything cowardly, I'll have no choice then to take over as captain!" Luffy nods his head, agreeing to his terms as (Y/N) hands everyone a sandwich, placing the bowl of fruit in the center of the table.
Zoro walks up to (Y/N), who was currently washing his already cold hands. "Uh, hey," he holds the cardigan up to the vampire, attracting his attention. "Is this yours?" (Y/N) looks down at the cardigan and nods, drying his hands before taking it from Zoro's grasp. "Oh, yes, it is. Thank you, Zoro."
Zoro nods, opening his mouth to say something before closing it just as quick and taking a seat next to the table, leaning against the fridge. (Y/N) puts the cardigan on and leans against the counter, bringing his attention to the conversation at the table.
Luffy finishes his food very quick. He attempted to steal everyone else's food, but he kept getting a smack on the hand each time. He leans against his hands on the backless bench him and Usopp sat on, "you know, I was thinking." Everyone looks at him, prompting him to continue.
"There's one other position we have to fill before we can go out into the grandline." Everyone automatically assumes he's talking about getting a cook, seeing as they've run out of food plenty of times in the short duration of their journey already.
Nami nods her head, "you're right, the kitchen is really nice on this ship! Just pay me and I'll do it," she says, slipping in her prices innocently. Zoro opens his eyes to look over, "I suppose it is vital for long trips."
(Y/N) places a hand on his hip, "I only helped my partner with the cooking, they did the bulk of it. I can't make the meals we need for the journey you want to go on, captain." Luffy ignores what everyone says, raising a finger with a wide grin on his face, "no decent pirate crew is without one! A musician."
