"Ow, my head...." Mari groaned as she stood up. "Wait, where... are we? This isn't home!"
Sunny got up next, looking around at his surroundings, taking in the bright yellow walls and bright lights.
"I think I've heard of this place before..." Aubrey said. "I think it's called The Backrooms."
"The Backrooms? We're in The Backrooms?" Basil said, panic hinting in his voice.
"Relax." Kel said. "This is Level 0, nothing will hurt us here."
"Don't we need to find an exit, though? If we truly are in The Backrooms, then we should get out as quickly as possible." Hero said.
"A-agreed. Where's the exit?" Basil asks.
Aubrey reaches into her jacket pocket and pulls out her phone. "There's a list of exits here, somewhere... ah, found it. So, we can either wait for the factors to change enough and go to Level 1, break a wall and go to Level -1, break through the floor and go to either Level 27 or the void, wander far enough in any direction and go to the Manila Room, or find doorways made of glass to get to Level 13."
"Wait, Level -1?! THERE ARE NEGATIVE LEVELS?!" Kel exclaims.
"Yes." Aubrey said bitterly.
"Well, I think we should go to Level 1. It poses the least amount of risk. But the question is, what so-called "factors" will cause us to get there?" Hero said.
"I don't know, it doesn't say that much." Aubrey replies.
"Well, nothing we can do but walk, I guess..." Hero sighs.
Sunny takes the lead, walking in a westward direction, his sister and friends all walking behind.
The lights annoyingly buzz, but there is no danger present, much to Basil's happiness.
"Isn't Level 1 a warehouse?" Kel asks.
"Yes, and there is a chance that crates of random items will appear." Aubrey replies.
As if on command, the yellow wallpaper of Level 0 begins to slowly fade away into gray concrete walls.
"Guys, I don't think we're on Level 0 anymore..." Mari said.

Where is everyone at the end of this chapter?
