I'm back! Chapter updates should be more frequent from now on.
"It's so dark here!" Kel said.
"Listen everyone, just stay together and we'll be fine. Don't wander off." Hero said.
"So, what do we do? Do we stay still? Do we walk?" Basil asked.
"Just walk and try not to make any noise. In this darkness, anything could be hiding."
Everyone gripped each other's hands so that they wouldn't get lost. All of a sudden, Sunny winced, letting out a quiet screech of pain.
"Sunny? What's wrong?" Mari asked, clearly concerned for her little brother.
"I... I think I cut my hand..." Sunny responded.
"Does anyone have a flashlight?"
Everyone was silent, which led Mari to sigh sadly.
"We will inspect it once we get into a level with better lighting, okay?" Mari asked.
"O-okay." Sunny said reluctantly.
Everyone continued onward, when all of a sudden, Hero tripped over.
Thump.
"Hero?" Mari asked, reaching her free hand downward.
There was no response.
"Hero? Where are you?" Kel called out.
Each person walked forwards, one by one.
Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
Thump.
Sunny opened his eyes. Light flooded them. He blinked his eyes a few times to adjust them. His sister and friends were passed out on the ground next to him.
Remembering his cut, he lifted up his hand to inspect it. It was a small cut between his left thumb and index finger. It was red, although not bleeding. He turned over to the now-conscious Mari to show her.
Mari nodded, then turned to Aubrey. "Aubrey? What level is this?"
Aubrey took out her phone. After a few minutes of searching, she said, "Level 6.1, the Snackrooms."
"The Snackrooms?! NOW you have my attention!" Kel said, excited.
"Yes, Kel. We can eat here. We just need to find a place that we want to eat. But, there's a lot of those..."
"Then I guess we'll have to look at them all!"
