OMORI but in the backrooms

Kel!

"Do you have everything?" Hero asked.

"Yes." Kel said. "With plenty of space to spare if we find anything else we need."

"Great! What about everyone else?"

"My backpack is full." Basil said.

"Well, at least you have it."

"Can we go already?" Aubrey insisted. "We need to find help... or... or something."

Everyone started to walk around in no particular direction.

"Most of these rooms are empty." Mari said.

"And you're only noticing that now?" Sunny said in a sarcastic yet playful manner.

Mari chuckled at Sunny's remark and everyone proceeded.

"What exactly are we looking for?" Kel suddenly said. "People? An exit? Food?"

Mari shrugged. "Whatever finds us first, I guess."

Kel, although still confused, didn't say anything more and kept walking in the group. They had stopped every half hour or so to split the remaining blueberries and make attempts to look for anything edible or needed for survival.

"Do... do you think my wound is better now?" Basil asked.

"Perhaps." Hero said. "But we should wait a little longer, just to be safe."

"Okay!" Basil said. After he said that, Sunflower Seed's head poked out of his shirt pocket. Basil pet him and fed him a blueberry, before gently shoving him back down. "I want you to be safe, little guy." he said in a near-whisper.

It had been about 5 hours of pure walking and stopping, with only the sounds of rain and their own footsteps being heard.

After that, they had come across an elevator. The elevator had a logo of a deformed-looking bunny. There had been text on the logo at some point, but it appeared to have been scratched off.

"Hey, an elevator!" Kel said. "Maybe we should go into it!"

"Kel, no. That elevator leads to a level that will most certainly kill us." Aubrey said.

But there was no reply.

"...Kel?"

Ding.

The elevator doors closed.

"KEL!" Hero screamed.

"Do... do we go after him?" Basil said, worried.

"Maybe we should split up. Half of us stay here, and the other half goes after Kel."

"But if we go into that level, we will certainly die!" Aubrey yelled.

"We can't leave Kel!" Hero said. "If none of you will go, then I will."

"Hero, no!"
