.:Lucifer's Study:.(Damion's POV)
I growled as I sat on the couch in my father's study. I was glaring nearly everyone in the damn room. I couldn't believe what they were telling me. I felt Seth tensing up behind. I growled as Emma's arrogant face began to speak again.
"Damion, just listen to us." She said, sounding annoyed.
                              "No. I'm not going to."
"It's been two weeks! If she were still alive, she would have made an effort to have contact us. We have to pull our men back."
"No! she's still out there, Emma. If she wasn't, then why couldn't we find her body? She didn't just disappear off the face of the earth!!" I shouted, stubbornly.
Emma growled. "She's dead, Damion! Now get over it. We have more work to do than obsess over your ex-girlfriend!!"
"She was your friend too! Or have you forgotten that? Have you forgotten what she meant to everyone here? What she meant to her son?" I growled, angrily.
Emma shut her mouth and looked down. She knew I was right. There was no way Krystal was dead. She couldn't be. I looked into my father's eyes and growled. He looked indifferent through the whole argument. I roughly stood up and glared at everyone, except Krystal's friends.
"At any rate, these are my men and my decision. They will continue to search for her."
I swiftly turned around and walked out the room. I was not going to give up on her. Not again. Not this time. Krystal was still alive. I knew she was. I could feel it. Charlotte could feel it. And I wasn't going to stop until I was sure she was gone.
Seth stayed quiet as we walked back to my room. we still had our differences, but we all knew for sure Krystal was alive and well. I sighed as i opened the door. Charlotte's head perked up as we all walked in.
He's little sad face nearly broke my heart. He quickly crawled out of Elizabeth's arms and ran to me. He wrapped his little arms around my legs.
I weakly smiled as I picked him up. Charlotte buried his face in my neck. I could feel the tears that trickled down. What were we supposed to do? Krystal was missing and none of us had the slightest clue where she went.
I walked to my bed and sat down. Charlotte stayed attached to me. I sighed as I rubbed his back. i was really confused. I had no idea what was running through Krystal's mind.
"Damion, what will we do next?" Gina asked.
"Yeah, the guards have searched everywhere for her. Her scent is already gone."
"Are you telling me we should give up?" I asked.
                              "Of course not!"
"I'm not too sure. I know Krystal is still alive, but I think she may have fled the area already. She's planning something."
Seth looked at me. "How do you know?"
"Why else would she leave you here? Why would she fake her death? She's up to something. And I'm willing to bet, Deagon has something to do with this."
The group stayed quiet as they listened to me. Charlotte had already cried himself to sleep.
I looked at Gina and Mina.
"I get it. We'll be careful." Gina said.
Seth nodded as well. "Yeah, I think you may be right. For now, we should play along with Krystal. We'll act like she wants us to. And we'll keep tabs on Deagon as well. Maybe he'll lead us to something."
I nodded. "Good. As for you and Troy, Liz. I'm going to need you guys to just watch Charlie. We'll keep training him, but I don't want him to try and run."
Elizabeth nodded. everyone knew that Charlotte knew something. He knew something about Krystal, but he was staying quiet.
I shook my head and gently laid him down. Everyone left to their rooms and laid down beside Charlotte. I felt my eyes grow tired. How many nights had I gone without sleep?
I groaned as I felt sleep finally take me.
