"They said our newly reforged nichirin blades are coming!" Tanjiro shouted excitedly to Inosuke.

"YAHOOOO!!"

"Hurry, hurry!"

The burgundy haired and boar headed boys sprinted outside the mansion, and immediately spotted two familiar figures, one of them being Haganezuka, the sword smith who had forged Tanjiro and your swords.

"Hey! Haganezuka-San!!" You beamed and waved.

Tanjiro shouts, "It's been a long time! How've you... been..."

His words trails out as he sees the sword smith charging towards him at full speed with a sharpened blade in his hand. Haganesuka's head is covered with a bandana and mask, but one didn't;r need to look at his facial features or tell that the sword smith was furious.

"GYAAHHH!!" Tanjiro narrowly dodges Haganezuka's knife, "H-haga..."

"HOW DARE YOU BREAK MY BLADE! DAMN YOU, DAMN YOUUU!!" Haganezuka pokes Tanjiro aggressively and yells, "the blade broke because you're a weakling!! Look at Y/n, why is her blade completely fine?!! How would you explain that huh??!!"

"I-I'm really sorry-"

"I'LL KILL YOUUUUU!!!"

Knowing Tanjiro would be fine, you just stood there and laughed as Tanjiro got chased around for an hour. Well, it's good exercise for him, right?

"Ah, my name is Kanamori," the other swordsmith who came with Haganezuka spoke up, with Tanjiro and Haganezuka still running around in the distance, "well, Haganezuka-San is a very passionate person. He loves blades more than anyone else."

"I can tell..." you sweat dripped at the scene and reply, "I'm L/n Y/n, by the way."

When Inosuke was presented with his new set of dual blades, he immediately walked out into the garden, took two stones, and bec]gan hammering dents into the blade to make them into the shape he wanted it to be. It took A LOT of effort to keep Kanamori from murdering Inosuke.

"Say ahhhhn." You directed Tanjiro. Currently you were in the hospital ward, giving everyone the finally checkup.

"Ahhhhn." Tanjiro says as he opens his mouth.

You held out your hand, touching his chin and examined everything one more time, smirking a little inside as a light blush coated Tanjiro's cheeks, "Yup, there's no problem with your jaw."

"T-thank you!! Oh, Y/n-chan, there's something I want to ask..."

You tilted your head in curiosity, "What is it?"

"Have you heard about the hinokami kagura, or maybe fire breathing before?" Tanjiro asks.

"Ah, the 'dance of the fire god'?" You remembered the term.

"You know about it?!" Tanjiro seemed so excited.

"Yep," you answer simply. You only know about this because you weren't from this world, rather from a world where Demon Slayer was a popular anime and manga and you had seen. In the original story this conversation happened between Tanjiro and Shinobu, you weren't sure why you were the one having this conversation with Tanjiro now.

"What do you know about it?" You could hear the curiosity and excitement in Tanjiro's voice.

"Nothing, I've only heard of the name before." You say. You weren't sure how your presence in the story may change the plot, and if you want to know what will happen next in the story, you shouldn't change the plot too much, so you stuck to how Shinobu had answered the question.

"I don't know the details either... I'm sorry. I only know, there's a very strict rule for its phrasing, 'breath of flame' and 'breath of fire' are two different things. For the details about fire breathing, you should try visiting Rengoku-san, the flame pillar."

"Okay! Time to depart!" Tanjiro declares and leaves the ward.
