A/n: I was too lazy to write the mission Y/n went on so I'll let you imagine them I guess.

You were making your way up the ranks of the Demon Slayer Corps. A couple months after joining the Corps, you had reached the highest rank: Kinoe. You had also perfected your forms of Winter Breathing after rigorous training whenever you could find the time. You had grown a lot stronger than before, you were also able to sense the temperatures of everything around you, sorta like heat vision. You were able to use that like Inosuke's spacial awareness or Zenitsu's hearing.

You were eating breakfast at an inn one morning when your crow started dancing around your dinner table and screaming, "Caw! Caw! You have a mission, report to Mount Natagumo! Report to Mount Natagumo! Many minzunotos have been sent but have since lost contact with the Corps, so it is suspected that a member of the twelve kizuki may reside on the mountain."

"WAIT THE MOUNT NATAGUMO ARC IS STARTING?!!" You yelled even louder than your crow, causing every head to turning your direction. "Heh, sorry." I mumbled, kind of embarrassed.

You shoved the rest the steamed rice into your mouth, paid for the meal, and jogged down the road. I GET TO SEE BEST BOI TANJIRO AND BEST GIRL NEZUKO AFTER SO LONG!!!!!

Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke are probably heading there right now. You were pretty sure they arrived when it was dark in the anime. At this pace, you would reach Mount Natagumo tomorrow morning, when the arc ended.

Shit I've gotta hurry up. You started sprinting, you maintained total concentration breathing 24/7 so you were able to run faster than normal people.

Slowing down and coming to a stop, you reached the bottom of the mountain. You panted and bent over, resting your hands on your knees trying to catch your breath. The sun had set, but you were able to make it in time. You sensed heat radiating from in front of you, from what your head vision can tell, it was one person and you knew who it was...

"Hey Zenitsu!"

"AHHHHHHH HELP MEEE!!!!!" Zenitsu jumped.

You laughed, "I'm L/n Y/n from Final Selection! Do you still remember me?"

Zenitsu exhaled in relief, "Yeah! I thought you were a demon! I-I couldn't even hear you, how do you move so quietly??"

"Oops, sorry about that." You laughed a bit as you put a hand behind your head, "Anyway, gotta go!"

"Wh-what?!! Your going in the forest too?! BUT IT'S SO CREEPY STAY HERE WITH ME PLEEEASE!"

"So you're just gonna let Tanjiro carry Nezuko on his back into that forest and not do anything about it?"

Zenitsu's expression was hilarious. "OH NO TANJIRO BROUGHT NEZUKO!!! TANJIRO WHY WOULD YOU BRING A GIRL INTO THAT FOREST???? WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU THINKING!!!! NEZUKOoOoOo!!!!!!"

He raced up the mountain with dusting trailing behind him.

"Wait Zenitsu-" But he was already gone, you shrugged, "I guess that pep talk was too effective."

As you made your way into the mountain. As you were walking you suddenly realized, if you were able to slay Rui then you could become a hashira! You weren't completely confident you were capable of doing it, but hey, becoming a hashira would be pretty cool.
