Chapter 11: Insecurity Strikes

Shard was passing around her room contemplating.

Shard: He did say in about two days. It's been three now.

Shard was disappointed, sad, and angry.

Shard: Ugh should of known it was too good to be true.

She stopped passing and slumped onto her bed giving a disappointed sigh. Suddenly she heard a bang.

Shard: What the distortion world was that?! It sounded like it came from Bolt's room.

Shard got up and walked to Bolt's room cautiously. No one else was home currently so no one was running around screaming, which Shard was happy about. She reached Bolt's door and was about to open it.

Shard: Wait would this be a good reason to just barge in?

She thought for a moment before realizing something.

Shard: Wait why do I care he didn't fulfil his promise!?

Immediately she swung open the door letting it slam against the wall. Bolt  was sitting at his desk messing with something and when Shard barged in he jumped in his seat and quickly grabbed a sheet and covered what he was working on.

Bolt (Nervously): Huh!? Oh hey Shard you're still here? Why didn't you go out with the others?

Shard didn't respond only giving him a death glare. Bolt got a chill down his spine. He felt like he forgot something or did something wrong.

Bolt (Nervously): Uh s-sorry a-about the loud noise.

He tried to apologize but Shard just deepened her death glare. Bolt started to think more on what he could of done wrong. He then realized what he did.

Bolt: Oh I forgot I promised to hang out with you. I'm so sorry.

Shard (Angry): Yea you forgot alright. Is there any reason why?

Bolt didn't know how to respond. Truth is he didn't have a good reason.

Bolt (Nervously): Uh well I-. Ok I have no good reason. But we can hang out now if you want.

Shard: sigh Alright fine lets go.

Shard walked out of Bolt's room and he quickly followed. But he had something stuck on his mind.

Bolt: Shard is very terrifying when she's mad. But why does it also make her seem cute?

Bolt realized what he was thinking and blushed trying to get the thoughts out of his head. Shard turned to Bolt now calmed.

Shard: By the way. Mind if I ask you what you were working on?

Bolt (Nervously): O-oh i-it was nothing no need to worry.

He gave her a nervous smile. She obviously didn't believe him. How would nothing cause that loud of a bang. But she didn't push him, she has secrets of her own and will respect his.

Shard: I know you're hiding something. But I won't push any further. You have your rights to have secrets.

Bolt sighed a sigh of relief but then realized something.

Bolt: So where are we going?

Shard: You'll see.

Later....

They arrived at a café named Charz. Bolt looked at the place confused.

Bolt: Why a café?

Shard (Angry tone): You have a problem with that?
