As I got in to my apartment I put my iPod on the speaker and started my playlist. I began to take all of my clothes out of my wardrobe and put them in to a huge suitcase. My stomach was getting really vocal. "I guess I'm hungry." I jumped off of my bed and it struck me that I'm not going to be living here anymore so all the food in my fridge has to be eaten. Hell yeah. I ran in to the kitchen and started cooking bacon and sausages. I am so ready for this.
So after I stuffed my face with as much of the food that I possibly could, I felt like I was going to throw up but the worst part was that there was still some left over. I guess I'll just have that for breakfast. Laying on my bed I stared at the rest of the clothes I still had to pack. So far away. Ugh. Too much effort. I forced my fat ass out of bed and sloppily threw the clothes into the suitcase and started putting other things into boxes. Shockingly, I didn't really have that much to take, all I had was clothes, these little dragon ornaments that I used to collect and a couple of art supplies. Everything else was already in the apartment when I rented it. I decided to go to bed as the time had just turned 12:17 and my eyes were starting to feel like bricks.
The light flooded through the crack in the curtains and right over my face. Of course. I dragged my cover over my head and as soon as the darkness started to absorb me once more I heard the most annoying sound ever. My alarm. The tune that would normally be enlightening was more like a death sentence. It signalled that it was 9:00am, meaning that I had an hour to get ready and get downstairs. I decided to lay there for another ten minutes because I was just way too lazy to move right now. My arms pushed my body up and my blonde hair, with red tips, flailed over my face. Moving towards the bathroom I looked in the mirror and saw my boring figure staring back at me. My slight curves were completely shielded by my baggy grey jumper that I wore to bed and my blue eyes were greeted by bags. I guess my eyes are packed and ready to go as well. I then cursed myself for being so cringe worthy. I tugged off my clothes and hopped in the shower, to be honest I really didn't want to leave but I knew that I had to. As I wrapped a towel around myself, like a dress, I headed towards the kitchen, put some bread in the toaster and started scrambling eggs. A knock sounded at the door and I made my way to it.
I opened it to be greeted by a "Having a fry up?" It was my neighbour, Andy, we used to go to school together. His shaggy blonde-brown hair fell just under his earlobes and his eyes were the colour of molten silver. However they were surprisingly soft. "Oh, hey. Kind of, wanna join?" We were quite good friends and he regularly came over to see me. A blush suddenly spread across his cheeks and he averted his eyes from me. "What's wrong?" I asked with a note of concern in my voice. "Well, um... Y-you're um in a towel." Oh yeah, I completely forgot about that. I started to get a little self conscious and heat made its way to my face. "Sorry." I said as I looked down. "Why are you saying sorry? I-it's not that bad." When he said that he faced down trying to hide his red face however it glowed like he was radioactive. It was kinda funny, it was difficult to hold in the giggle but it was impossible to conceal the smile that occupied my lips. He finally looked up, dragging his eyes all the way up my body, trying to be subtle, might I add. "Well do you want to come and have breakfast or are you going to stand there gawking at me and eventually get a nose bleed." I winked at him. "Either is fine." I grinned. "Yeah I'll have breakfast." He completely disregarded the second option, I'm guessing because he had been staring at me for a while now. I led the way to the kitchen and I served him a plate of toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. "Want any sauce?" I glided around the counter towards the fridge. "No, thanks." He practically wolfed it down, I doubt it even touched the sides. "Someone was hungry." All that I got out of him was a muffled "Hmm." And a nod. His cheeks were all puffed up like when a hamster stores it's food. I sat down with my plate in front of me and began eating. "So why are there boxes here? Your girlfriend moving in?" Yes I have a girlfriend, I'm also a girl, get over it. "What? Oh, no. I'm moving out." He seemed to have a saddened look in his eyes but he quickly covered it up. "Really? You never told me."
"It was kind of a split second decision, you know?" I felt really guilty for not telling him but this morning was eventful enough. "So where are you going?" There was no way I was going to tell him that I was going to be living with Del, mainly because the story made me sound really stupid. Also I'm pretty sure Baldy would have something to say about it if I did share the 'secret'. "Hey, you alright?" He waved a hand in front of my face. I had zoned out. "Oh, yeah, sorry. I'm going to move in with my girlfriend." Complete lie but whatever. I've never been very good at lying however I actually made this one sound real. "Cool. How long have you been with her?" I had the last bite of my food in my mouth when he asked the question. I really don't know why he wanted to know. "Huh? Angie? Three years today actually." He had a smile plastered across his face but I could tell it was fake. "Ah. Well good for you two, I should probably get going though." He picked up his plate as he stood and placed it in the sink. It seemed like he couldn't get out there fast enough. Did I say something to hurt him? As he got to the door he didn't say anything and just slammed it shut on me trying to say bye. It might be because of the late notice about the move, or he could know that I was lying to him. I really hope not. I went back to my room and looked at my phone, it displayed the time as 9:53. Crap. I'm still in my towel. I ran to the clothes that I left out for myself and fumbled trying to get them on. A pair of black jeans, a white Harry Potter t-shirt that had two overlapping black brooms on it and to top it off a black bow tie tightly wrapped around my neck. You can judge all you like I think it's cute. I dragged a dark purple hoodie on and struggled with my stuff.
