I walked down the hallway, my arms holding textbooks. I stepped up a flight of stairs, and turned down the corner. I opened the door and shut it behind me. The Library is so peaceful. . . Oh, there's Elisa! I walked over to her at the table and set down the textbooks, I pulled up a chair and sat next to her, "Hi, my sweet breadstick." Elisa said with a smile, putting her bookmark into the page indent and shutting it. She placed the book on the table and gave me a small kiss on the forehead (AD DON'T FREAK OUT), "Hi, fries." I said. I love our nicknames. "Uhm. . . why did you text me to meet you here?" I said with a confused face.

"I need help with an art project." Elisa grabbed a piece of paper that had instructions on it. "Alright, what do we need to do?" I grabbed the paper, and read it:

1. Find a partner

2. Get white paper

3. Get watercolors and a toothbrush

4. Splatter paint on the white paper

5. Fill the toothbrush with paint, run your thumb along the bristles to spatter the paint. Cut into pieces. Assemble on black paper. Glue in place. This can be messy so make sure that you use washable paints and cover up with an apron.

I cleared my throat, "Well, this is certainly interesting." I put the paper down on the table. "So, will you help me?" Elisa asked, "Of course! Anything for you, El." I stood up and grabbed the textbooks, I held out my hand. Elisa giggled, grabbing my hand as we both walked out of the Library.

I sat down on my floor, making beaded bracelets. I then heard a ding from my phone. I grabbed it and saw that it was Elisa:

Elisa: Breadsticks are so yummy.

Me: Ye, they are.

(New text message!) Elisa: Do you want to come over? I have a surprise for you, Mia.

I chuckled as I texted her back was a: Yes. l'll be coming over in a few minutes. Plus, I have a surprise for you too ;)

I grabbed a spare backpack that I used for going over to people's houses. I put my water bottle and a sketch book alongside a pencil case, and also the beaded bracelets in the backpack.

I walked upstairs to Elisa's room and I opened the door, and saw that posters were hung up; Shinedown posters, Nirvana posters, etc.

"Mia!" Elisa said, running up to me and gave me a tight hug. "Hi hi, Elisa." I said as I pulled away from the hug. "Are you ready for your surprise?" Elisa asked me, smiling. I nodded, "Any surprise or gift from you is special to me. I'm ready."

Elisa pulled out a box that was the color of pink, yellow, and blue. "Wanna guess what it is?" Elisa said, chuckling. "Is it . . . a new headband?" I chuckled. "Nope." Elisa pulled off the top of the box. Inside the box with a bunch of white confetti strands, a purple hat and scarf. "Aww, El! I love it!" I grabbed the hat and slid it on. "My Great-great Uncle (Ad, if you see this part, I just wanted to make it the opposite- please don't hurt me . . . even though you would probably not hurt me- but still- ;v;) made it for you." Elisa said, putting the lid back on and slid it towards me.

I grabbed my spare backpack and took out the beaded bracelets. I put the bracelet around my wrist and then Elisa's. "Oh, Mia. I love it, and I love you."

I smiled as I got close to her, but then suddenly the door swung open, "Ugh, Elisa. I need you to help me with something!" Jessica threw her arms up, "That's so gay." She said again. "No, she needs to help me with my homework! She already finished her art project!" Ava stomped her foot.

"Can you two please keep it down?" Livia said, her headphones around her neck. "I'm trying to tune my guitar." Livia walked away. "Jess, Ava, l'll help you in a moment. Otay?" Elisa smiled.

"Otay!" Ava said, her mood changed quickly. She walked away. "Ugh, fine. I just don't want you guys to kiss in front of me, get a room." Jessica crossed her arms and then shut the door.

I looked at Elisa, embarrassed. "It's okay, Mia." Elisa hugged me, "I like the gift." I smiled, pulling away from the hug, "I like yours too." I said. "Want a candy heart?" Elisa asked randomly, her holding candy hearts in her hand. "Of course!" I took a candy heart and put it in my mouth. It was so sweet! Just like Elisa.

(Oh my god. . . this took like three days- *sob*)
