I yawned while walking out of my bedroom, "Goodmorning, mom." I sat down at the table. My mom placed a plate with bacon and an omelet on it in front of me. "Are you glad it's Saturday, today?" My mom asked. "Yeah, I guess." I began to eat my bacon. "Hey, Mia." A voice startled me. I almost choked on my bacon.
I looked over. It was Braydon's best friend, Lucas. "Oh. Hey, Lucas! You startled me . . ." I said, putting down my fork. "Mom, I'm done." I said, my mom looked at me with a strange face, "Suit yourself." She grabbed my plate and began to eat the omelet. "Did you come over just now, Lucas?" I asked. "I came yesterday. I think you were at a friend's house?" Lucas said. I blushed, remembering what happened when I was over there, "Oh, right . ."
I got up from the table and began walking to my room, "Wait!" Lucas said, "I have something for you. Can you come with me to the guest room?" He said. I paused. What . . . ? What does he have for me? I cleared my throat, "Uhm . . . sure?" I said as Lucas grabbed my wrist tightly, "Alright." He began to walk towards the guest room. I followed behind him.
Lucas opened the door and when I walked into the room, he shut it. I stood there, confused. He grabbed a sharp object and walked towards me. "Mia . . . I like you." He said, pinning me to the wall, "Wait, what . . ?" I said, my heart began to pound. "I like you." He grabbed my wrist tightly. He came closer. I pushed him away. "You're gonna regret that." Lucas said, throwing the sharp object at my head, the object injuring my face. I fell backwards.
I can't breathe . . . my heart is pounding so loudly. . .
Lucas walked towards me. I threw the smashed object at him. He yelled in pain. I quickly got up and rushed out the door. I ran towards my bedroom and shut the door behind me, I then locked it. I began to cry, tears and blood ran down my face.
I picked up my phone with a wobbly hand and called Elisa. Everything went silent. Elisa picked up the phone, "Hello! This is Elisa, how may I help you?" She said with a happy tune of voice. "Hello . . ?" She said again. "E-elisa . . ." I said, my voice being shaky. "Mia, are you alright?" She said, her voice now concerned. "N-no . . . I'm bleeding . . ." My mind was racing. "You're bleeding?! Mia, get something to stop the bleeding, like uhm . . . a cloth or piece of clothing!" She said.
I heard a knock on my door. I got up quickly and grabbed a shirt that I didn't really fit into anymore. "What now . . ?" I said while feeling light headed. "Apply pressure to the wound!" Elisa said. I could hear background noises when she stopped talking.
I applied pressure to the wound with the shirt. I stayed still. My body was shaking.
I passed out. I could still hear noises around me, everything was dark though. . .

I woke up in a hospital bed. The room was bright and blinding to me, "She's awake!" My mom said, hugging me. "Mia!" Elisa hugged me tightly. I smiled, hugging tightly back too.
I heard Braydon outside of the room arguing with someone, "Lucas did this to you? How dare he! We're getting a restraining order." My mom said, throwing her fist up. "Thanks for . . . trying to stop the bleeding, Elisa." I said, my voice was still shaky. Elisa nodded, and let go of the hug. "I'm just glad you're alright. That bandage is covering half your face." She said with a frown on her face. Elisa kissed my forehead and then grabbed a gift of flowers. "It's a present." She gave it to me and I sniffed the flowers.
"Peonies! My favorite flower." I smiled. "I love you." Elisa said, "I love you too."
(Woah. This was a lot. I hope everyone took my warnings seriously.)
