The three walked slowly and quietly back home together. Chi was holding Don's elbow and pressing her breasts against it, while Celine was at his other side holding his hand and resting her head on his shoulder.
Celine had laid on Don for as long as she could until Don was strong enough to stand up. But even then, she was still reluctant to get up from him. She had been so scared that Don was dead and never coming back to her. And now that he was alive, she wanted to stay close to him forever.
Celine had broke Chi free from Vanzella's spell the same way she had healed Don. Chi had been so relieved and happy to be able to move again that she had hugged Celine, then Don't tightly.
There had been no need to tell Chi everything that happened. She had seen and heard everything. She was not in a trance. She just couldn't move.
They had went out of the old church together and had found out that they were in the middle of the woods. Don had recognized the church as a old Catholic Church that had been abandoned centuries ago. Rumours had it that something mysterious, that no one was able to understand, killed everyone in the church one day.
Celine had offered to teleport them all back to their various homes but Don disagreed. He said Celine had tried too much for just one night and she should not exhaust herself anymore. This had made Celine blush. And now, they were walking along the pavement, now close to Celine's and Chi's neighborhood.
"What do you think happened to Vanzella, Don?" Celine asked, breaking the silence that had enveloped them.
"I don't know but I do wish she's dead and never coming back, " Don said.
"What about you being a Sylvester?" Chi asked.
"That's even more confusing. If I am really a Sylvester then it only means one thing. I was adopted or my parents are not using their real name, " Don said and heaved a sigh.
"I'll go through the history textbooks in school and see if I can come across any Richard Sylvester," Chi said.
"That's really a good start. Nice thinking, Chi," Don said and she smiled.
Celine wished she was the one to first come up with that idea.
"Here we are, " Don said, stopping at the front of Celine's aunt's house. "Looks like your aunt's house had a makeover."
Celine giggled.
"I will sneak inside and check to see if my parents are still asleep, " Chi said, letting go of Don's hand. "Bye, Don."
"Bye, see you in school, " Don said. Chi blew him a kiss and went into the house.
Celine was alone with Don and still holding his hand.
"Bye to you too, " Don said, smiling.
"Thanks for offering to walk us home, " Celine said shyly and let go of his hand.
"No problem, " Don said. "Now I see there's more to you than I thought. I'm really sorry for the embarrassment and pain I caused you yesterday, back in school."
Don is apologizing to me???
"Don't worry, it's OK, " Celine said, staring at the ground.
"No hard feelings?" Don asked, stretching his hand towards Celine.
She raised her head and looked at Don.
Just try to stay calm, Celine. Don't let him see how excited you are, Celine thought.
"No hard feelings, " She said, taking his hand and shaking it.
"Great. Bye, " Don said and turned back, walking away.
Celine stood and watched him walk away, kicking pepples on the pavement.
"Don!" Celine called, wanting to ask him the question that had been bothering her since she had teleported to his room.
"Yeah?" Don said, turning to look at her.
"Why weren't you asleep the time I teleported to your room earlier?" Celine asked.
"I couldn't sleep, " Don replied simply, turning back.
Celine's heart skipped.
