Wow. I finished. This is, inconveniently, the first book I have ever finished writing. At a little over 120k words, I am rather chuffed with myself I must say. I figured I'd do a little... acknowledgments thing where I just chat shit tbh so...
Thank you to...
My mum and dad? They're very supportive.
Also my sisters, who are very supportive.
Also my Uni friends, the creators of Striker (their dilf) and Me'Liah and Ma'Tali. Thanks for having the patience to sit in the kitchen with me for hours while I ramble about the book and waffle about the next however many I've planned in life. Honestly, I don't think I could've finished this without your guys' help at keeping me motivated, so thank you for that <3 I'm really sorry for everything I've got planned for your fav characters... also thank you Mia for saying you'd name your unborn, unplanned baby Zemira. I'm really sad that never came to be 😔
Additionally I would like to thank Gray. You're never going to read this, but nevertheless, thanks for coming up with (and I quote, word for word) 'Chip, the young jester who plays the mandolin and dabbles in the dark arts'. Sorry I 'butchered' your original concept, just be happy he's become so significant. I'd also like to thank you for creating an enitrely new group of characters for me to somehow slot into the story, really! you make my life so much easier 🤠!!! I also want to thank you for being my 'fantasy-religion-consultant' though that is for the first book 🤫
I wanna say to thank you to Samyukta Neeraj (or Maidengirl_77) for literally being there since chapter 1, the writing and structure advice, and especially for downloading Snapchat for me, ur a real one. Thank you for the comments, they really kept me going and motivated me <33 She's a brilliant writer, so everyone check out her stuff, although she's been taking a haitus, I'd 100% recommend checking her book out and adding it to your library/reading list!
Thanks to J.E, you were the first person to read my story, the first to listen to me ramble (about this book specifically) and were so enthusiastic to hear about it that it made me even more excited to write it. You let me waffle on about all the ideas I had and you're my ADHD buddy for life, I love you, I think we're soulmates, this is getting awkward so moving on <333
Thanks to Roma, my dog, for sitting on my laptop keyboard and demanding cuddles, and for snoring in my ear at night, and for farting as I write this, and for barking whenever I'm in the zone—appreciated it then and still do <3. Thanks Floyd, you're my sisters dog but I still love you (even though you take up to 20 mins to find your ball whilst on a walk, despite having a big nose and being a truffle dog. you wow me.) And Martha, who actually died a couple of months after I began this book and didn't really invest much time into the story but I love her, my lifelong companion.
Thank you Melody, who also has not contributed to this at all but she's my bestie fr and super supportive even though everything I say goes in one ear and out the other.
Thank you to everyone on Wattpad who took an interest in my book, I really appreciate all of the support, the votes and the comments, and I hope to see you soon when I begin to post the first book.
