I felt the wolf persona in me want to burst forth. And it did. Ripping through my clothes and flesh painfully, my skin tearing away from the flesh and bonds which bound my human form together. I glanced in the mirror, looking at the vicious creature staring back at me. Begging for blood and release of this pent-up anger that no one in this house had the courage to lend an ear to. I raised my body up, at my full height I could reach as tall as the ceiling, and crashed down onto the mirror shattering it into billions of pieces. I didn't even flinch as the glass shards rained down on me.

I let myself lose control of the beast as I burst through the window my anger fueling me enough to break through Magnus' silly little warlock charm. My body practically flew through the air as I disappeared through the forest.

The sun was setting as my enraged state finally became subdued. I was left trotting through the forest alone, something I rarely was able to do. It was peaceful and calming. It wasn't the four walls that I felt entrapped in daily. It was wide, spacious, and free. I stopped near a pond, in its water tiny creatures swam. Unaware of how small their little world was. I got lost as I stared into the water wondering what thoughts creatures as small as those could possibly have.

Of course, nothing good last for long in my life, and today would be no different. I heard a faint twinkling sound in the distance. If it was anyone else I would have been ready to pounce, instead though I lay flat on the ground panting from the exertion I had forced on my body the last couple of hours. The twinkling fluttered closer until Ryland crashed and landed on my body.

I let out a growl to indicate my annoyance but this only earned a laugh from him.

"I finally found you I've been looking for like 30 minutes!" He nuzzles his face against my fur again the familiar tingles ignited through my body. This time it didn't feel terrible. It felt, just... strange. Not bad enough to make me stop his nuzzling against me. The non-shifters were always obsessed with the feeling of our fur even if all the gunk that got stuck in it from running made them sneeze. As if on cue Ryland let out a sneeze forcing a humorous rumble to come out of me.

"It's not funny," He exclaimed out while running his fingers through my brown fur. "Shift?" He posed it as a question but he knew how difficult it was for me to deny him of anything. I stayed in my current form for moments more before shifting back. He winced as my bones snapped into place revealing my naked crouching form to him.

"Thank you," He mumbled out in embarrassment. I noticed his eyes wander downward before hurriedly correcting themselves to stare at my grey eyes. Something about the action made a foreign feeling swell up in my body. I began to tremble as it coursed through me, staring into Rylands face. Admiring his hair that was so blonde in the light of the setting sun it looked white. His eyes shimmered blue as the fading daylight caused them to twinkle beautifully. I didn't know how I was feeling at this moment, but it forced me to view Ryland as I never had before. I stared at his pink lips, not as full as mine but still calling my name to them like they sang some siren song. I maneuvered my body to face him completely as I slowly leaned closer the fire in my stomach only grew with need as an overwhelming urge to press my lips to his became unbearable. I flung myself on him, knocking him backwards onto the ground and placing me over him.

I crashed down onto his lips roughly moving in ways that I simply thought felt right. Ryland remained frozen in shock before he too became consumed by this feeling. His hands roamed my naked body as he brought me down closer to him. Our mouths danced together as if this was the first and last time we would ever experience this moment. Maybe it was, this thought alone fueled me to wrap my hand behind his head and hold him impossibly close so that his lips couldn't part from mine. A part of me wanted our bodies to be connected and inseparable. He groaned into the kiss and I felt both of our bodies ignite as power surged through me only egging me on more. Ryland gasped before scrambling away from me.

I went to move closer to him, my body begging for more as I surged with new channeled energy.

"S-stay back! Stay back, Luca!" The fear was evident in his wavering voice. Every step I took he took two more backward. He looked at me in horror, like I was some grotesque creature. His wings unsheathed themselves from his back and he fluttered away from me the twinkling sound of his wings fading at a rapid pace. I moved over to the pond to see if I was truly as grotesque as Ryland made me out to be at that moment. I too let out a gasp as my pitch black eyes, devote of all color, slowly faded back into grey. Rylands face kept replaying in my head over and over again. I felt the rage creep in again. My body huffed in anger as it built up more and more. I arched back letting out an involuntary scream of pain. I felt wind whip around me as if the Earth itself pitied my fallen state. I shifted into a wolf, this time it was painless, and darted further into the forest.

The sun had set and the night was upon me yet I couldn't calm my beast down. It paced back and forth deep in the forest unable to settle and I let it do as it pleased. No one came for me, I was sure they had all heard of my attack on Ryland by now. I doubt the doors would even open for me at this point. I probably wouldn't be welcomed back but I wanted to apologize to Ryland if anything. Not tonight though. Tonight I was too wound up. Tomorrow I will go back. Tomorrow I will face whatever punishment I'd be given. I laid down in the lush grass of the forest and let my beast sleep until morning.
