To Love Luca

Chapter 6

I trotted back through the forest, tracing my own scent to return to the house. As I entered the clearing I saw three wolves of my pack. Aiden stood at the center with Levi and Cassius at his sides. He let out a howl, you almost hurt Ryland. Aiden's message was clear as he thundered toward me in fury. I snarled out in warning still feeling the surge of energy from kissing Ryland the night before. Yet he came onto me still his body collided with mine and I slashed a paw at his side as he slashed against my back.

    I winced at the pain but went to bite Aiden's neck. Cassius manuevered toward me at this and nipped at my neck instead I slammed my body against his turning away from Aiden and snarling at Cassius. Aiden slashed again at my side unforivingly. I felt the heaps of blood drip from my side but I didn't care. My beast was taking over and I unhinged my jaw wider to clamp down on Aiden's neck. I didn't use full force but successfully immobilized him shaking him violently back and forth. He whimpered out in defeat as Magnus' tall thin body began to run down the hill towards us. I tossed Aiden to the side like the weak pup he was and transformed back to human. I looked down at the deep gashes in my side not paying attention to the other two before a firm punch collided with my jaw.

Aiden's face was one morphed with unrelenting anger and hatred. His fist met my face over and over and over. I smiled at him, an unwavering smile that pissed him off to no end. Yet for some reason I couldn't stop, the pain, I relished in it.  At one point I forgot how to breathe as Magnus desperately tried to pull him off. He used magic to immobilize Aiden finally and his naked body colloapsed onto the ground. Cassius rushed over to him, not before giving me a firm glare of course, and picked up Aiden and began to carry him to the house.

"Are you okay Luca?" Magnus' eyes were full of worry and my heart swooned. I was happy that at least one person cared that I was just plummeled by someone I'd known my entire life.

"Yeah I'll be okay," He reached his hand out and helped me up. I could already feel one of my eyes swelling shut but it would be healed completely by tomorrow. We silently made our way up the hill. Cassius and Aiden had already disappeared inside while the others looked at my damaged face.

Bellamy rushed over to me gently touching the sides of my face. My face tingled and for a moment the pain seemed to subside.

"This looks bad are you okay?" He asked me concern laced in his voice. I didn't think Bellamy would ever care if I was hurt or not. I placed my own hand over his that was cupping my face feeling the tingling sensation even more before pulling away completely.

"Yeah I'm good." My eyes turned to Ryland who was looking at the ground and his feet. Anywhere but my gaze really. I was prepared to walk past him but stopped instead. I noticed his body tense, I wasn't sure if it was because he was scared of me now or because he felt bad. Maybe a mixture of both.

"I'm sorry about last night. I didn't mean to scare you," I continued to walk into the house and I heard sniffles began to start from behind me.

"It's okay Ryland," I heard Bellamy console him. I disappeared into my room and wanted to glance at the damage to my face. I turned to my room mirror to see it shattered in shards on the ground from yesterday. I sighed before going to the bathroom. My right eye was already half swollen shut and yellowish bruises were adorning my entire face. I sighed again while grabbing my uniform from behind the bathroom door. I didn't feel like asking anyone for a ride so I decided I would go in wolf form instead and walk the 20 minutes into town. I left my room, still stark naked since I was going to shift anyways.

"Oh you are still naked!" Doz's face began to ignite with a red hue. I chuckled at his response.

"Yeah, I'm heading to work," I stated while walking away.
