Title

I would've gone with a shorter one like "Afraid" to add mystique but this matches the book as well!

Blurb

Sets the scene well, up front about plot but still leaves questions. I like it.

Grammar and Vocabulary

10/10, clear with uncommon things as appropriate to setting, for example oil lamps.

Writing Style and Pacing

A style with much emotion and a varied pace as appropriate to the mood.

Characters and Plot Development

Cerise's emotions have a humanity to them, and her anxiousness and fear was portrayed well. The characters were of interest and the plot was well stitched if a little sudden at times.

Overall Opinion

A great piece with much care to detail.

Dislikes

The doctor felt a little off when first pushing Cerise to talk, which may or may not be a good thing depending on your intent. I would like to see more historical details. You can show these by describing a room, garments, food, or having newspaper headlines pop up of actual events.

This Reminded Me Of

Nothing I've ever read before in the best way possible. Congratulations, you've singlehandedly interested me in historical fiction.
