Hailee's POV:
I wake up to a good morning message from Y/N, she's so cute. It's now 10:30am, damn I slept in. I see I have a handful of messages from a random number which is weird. I'm very cautious about who has access to my number for obvious reasons, they must have gotten it from someone I know? Or maybe it is someone I know.
I open the messages and my heart drops.
(xxx)-xxx-xxx:
Hey Hailee it's Alexa, Y/N's best friend. I know we haven't talked but seeing as how you're a pretty big part of Y/N's life now I just wanted to reach out and let you know something happened and she won't be in contact for a little. She tends to shut down and push people away when something bothers her, don't think it's you. It may be a few days or weeks, she's pretty shaken up and I just wanted to let you know.
I'm confused, something happened? Like what? What is going on.
I reply back to her, "Hey Alexa, thanks for reaching out. What happened? Can I at least know that?"
Alexa:
"Someone forced themselves onto her, they didn't succeed with the full act but she has bruises and is very badly shaken up. She's knocked out in the nurses office right now, on some pills because they couldn't get her to calm down. I don't know the whole thing as I haven't spoken to her myself. She should probably tell you the rest when she's up for it".
WHAT.
I don't even reply I just pack a bag and head straight for the airport getting on the next flight out to Seattle.
Someone tried to hurt her. I'm coming Y/N, I'll be there soon my love.
The flight seems like it's forever, everyone is moving so slow and I feel so anxious. I need to get to Y/N now. I want her to know she's not alone, she doesn't have to go through this alone. We finally touch down in Seattle and I run off the plane, out the airport, hop in an uber and make my way towards her campus. I remember our conversations and know the building and dorm room. She should be back there now right? I'll take my chances.
Once the uber stops I run out trying to find my way to her dorm, I bust open into a building, search for her room number and knock pretty impatiently. A blonde haired girl opens the door, eyes puffy, I assume this is Alexa.
"Hi. Alexa right?" I say awkwardly standing outside the door.
She just looks at me shocked, we sit in a moment of silence before she snaps out of it and opens the door wider to gesture me to come in.
"Sorry, I'm just a bit shocked you're here right now" Alexa replies honestly.
"I know. I'm sorry I didn't call ahead, as soon as you told me about what happened to Y/N I got on the next flight out and I just needed to see her and be here for her" I say trying to catch my breath from the running, my anxiety still taking a toll on me.
"We actually just got back to the dorm room, you came at a perfect time. She just went to shower. You can wait here or knock but she's pretty strict on privacy so good luck" She speaks up taking a seat on the couch.
"I'll take my chances, thank you Alexa" I say smiling.
"Hailee, she may not want to be touched. She's been crying in there, I heard her sobs and whimpers so just please... be careful with her" Alexa looks at me, her hands folded in her lap and her eyes full of sadness. I just nod at her and stand outside the bathroom door before I take a breath and knock. I hear Y/N's soft voice speak up, "Alexa it's not a good time. Please leave me alone". My heart breaks hearing this, she's not even letting her best friend in to help her.
