As the sun shined, the teenager and kabold walked through the village on the gravel paths.
(Y/n) observed the buildings, which were mostly houses.
These houses had white painted wooden walls and brown timber frames, with roofs covered in hay.
Most of the people here were peasants as well so the buildings weren't of high quality.
And in the distance, was a castle.
A group of kids run past (y/n) laughing, as the teenager watched them have fun, he smiles.
"So you said that you've been here before right? Does that mean that the people here know you?" (Y/n) asked.
"Mhm, I'm known as the local kabold around here. If I could live here I think I would, but I can't really afford it....." Citrus answered, looking a bit sad.
"Wait, if you've been here before, than you what humans are, so why were you afraid of me when we met?" (Y/n) asked, confused.
"Because you were a stranger," Citrus replied, looking up to him with a straight face.
"Oh....." Was all that came out of the boy's mouth.
'of course.....' he thought.
"So..... What do you wanna do here?" The kabold asked, tilting her head in curiosity.
"I'm looking for someone who might know how I can get out of here" the teenager answered.
"You wish to leave the village? I know the way back....." The kabold stated.
"No- that's not what I mean heh" he replied.
"Oh well..... What do you mean when you say that you want to leave from here?" The kabold asked, confused.
"Haha, I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm not from here, this.... world, this..... Reality! I- I don't really know how to explain it but you're living in a book, everything here is part of a story inside a book, a book that I got sucked into and now I'm trying to leave....." The boy answered.
"So..... You were sucked into a story? And that story is our existence? Sounds..... Magical" the kabold commented.
(Y/n) stood quite for a moment before his eyes widened.
"Magical! That's it! Is th-there a wizard anywhere here!? Or a witch! Whichever, maybe they'd know what to do!" The boy questioned excitedly, laying his hands on the kabold's shoulders and shaking her.
"Well..... There is one wizard, or atleast he's trying to be one....." Citrus answered, looking away.
"Take me to him, please!" (Y/n) begged.
.....
Citrus led (y/n) to a specific house, one that was on top of a small grassy hill, this one had a few trees around it too and so it stood out from most of the homes.
The two of them made there way up to the house on the path leading to it.
In front of (y/n) and Citrus stood the wizard's house, at which (y/n) stared at for a moment.
This house looked a bit different; while it had white wooden walls with timber brown frames like most of the village's houses, it's roof was also covered with dark blue wooden planks, and it also had what looked like tower next to it.
(Y/n) and Citrus looked at eachother before the teenager walked up to the door.
The door's frame had the design of an eye symbol carved on it, although it was closed.
