Physical Description: Short and thin with a small build. Weak arms but has strong legs and is very quick. She also has a strong punch and can take people down rather quickly. She's not afraid to fight.

Emotional Description: tends to looks happy and cheerful to lighten the mood of others around her. She has really bad OCD and cannot swim. She also has anxiety because she horrified of dying; she doesn't really know what will happen after she dies.

Clothing Description: She always wears a trench coat whether it is blue, black, tan or any other color. Usually the coat is tan and is more of a dress coat than a trench coat. She tends to wear jeans and large pull overs with a scarf. She also is known for wearing a hair bow. She does however enjoy skirts and dresses.

Family: Tessa Sterling (stepmother), Michael Sterling (Father, deceased), Collin Stevens (stepbrother), Anna Sterling (little sister), Caroline Sterling (older sister), Matthias Sterling (older brother). She doesn't get along with her family and moved to England to escape them. Her step mom is a gold-digger and is a tyrant. Dinah's step brother pretended that she didn't exist and her sister Anna is a self-obsessed drug addict. Caroline also pretended that she didn't exist and is bit of an attention whore. Matthias is the only useful member however he moved a lot for his job and doesn't see Dinah often.

Special Abilities: She's incredibly smart and good at picking up trails on murder investigations. She thinks quickly and is able to run through solutions quickly in her head, cross out options, and find the answer she's looking for.

Dinah's Relationships with Characters:

Sherlock Holmes: Dinah met Sherlock Holmes after moving away from a messy family. She was working on a case that she read about in the paper and decided to investigate on her own in London. She convinced police to let her look at the body at the crime scene and figured out what had happened within minutes. Sherlock had been watching but said nothing. She started working part time at the sandwich store by 221B and Sherlock introduced himself. They later ended up working together. Dinah is very fond of Sherlock he's almost like the brother she never wanted. They take care of each other though.

John Watson: John Watson met Dinah when Sherlock suddenly forced her to move into the flat below them. She came over to their flat a thousand times to hang out with them and Sherlock had Mrs. Hudson make an extra key so Dinah could get into his flat and so he could get into hers. John reminded Dinah of her brother Matthias because he was kinder than Sherlock and was rather friendly. John was able to communicate with Dinah in a way Sherlock couldn't.

Mycroft Holmes: Dinah doesn't mind him but doesn't particularly like him. Mycroft announced who she really was to Sherlock and John when she was away. She had lied to them about her real family because she didn't want them to know she was rich and treat her differently. So after that Dinah beotch slapped him. She still met with to talk about Sherlock because John was done with that crap.

Greg Lestrade: Dinah loves Greg, like a lot. She often snapped at Sherlock for yelling at Greg. Dinah occasionally stayed late to help him understand some of Sherlock's findings or to help him clean up the station. They ended being really close and start to have a relationship. They get extremely close when Sherlock "dies" and leaves for two years.

Mrs. Hudson: Dinah thinks Mrs. Hudson is very sweet and is always kind to her. She is very thankful that Mrs. Hudson allows her to stay for such a cheap price.

Moriarty: Of course, Dinah fears Moriarty because she was taken hostage by the creep and almost killed. She tries to get him arrested before he convinces Sherlock to jump. Dinah stuck with Sherlock up until his fake "end" and fought off a few people working for Moriarty.

Mary Motstan: Dinah liked Mary at first and was happy for John Watson. Later she realized that there was something odd about Mary but decided to keep her mouth shut.

Molly Hooper: Dinah likes Molly and (like Greg) snaps at Sherlock for being rude to her. She also tries to help Molly get a not so crazy boyfriend. They talk about Sherlock together and laugh at how awkward he is.
