Supernatural High
**********

Lydia Martin, coined Queen B of the school. She walks and commands the attention from everyone around her. Her striking strawberry blonde hair always seemed to be perfectly curled or styled without even one strand out of place. Her dazzling green eyes seemed to enchant all that walks by. And her skin flawless wouldn't dare have a single blemish to decorate it. Her rosey cheeks with perfect shade of pink that matched perfectly with her plump lips: she was stunning and turned the heads of everyone who walks by. All the girls either want to be her or they despise her for getting the attention they will never have. And the guys, well the guys, stare in awe. Wondering what it would be like to have her.

She takes her strides with confidence. A fierce assurance that never wavers. And she welds it like a weapon against her peers never letting them seem the real girl behind the armor.

Except until recently.

Between the traumatic event on the lacrosse field and Jackson callously tossing her aside has left her raddled. She sees her attacker in her dreams and screams herself awake st night. And her ex boyfriend, well, he doesn't seem to care at all that the girl was missing, that she almost died. As if, she never meant anything at all.

Yet, she still managed to get up this morning to get dressed. She put her best foot forward. The girl dressed in a black dress that accentuated her body quite nicely. Her hair ever so perfectly fell past her shoulders and a dangling necklace to tie the entire outfit together. And despite pretending she doesn't care, she was smiling inside at her two best friends who were waiting by the courtyard for her first day back.

She saw Maya McCall smiling and laughing with their friend Allison. It was wholesome, while Lydia was slightly jealous at their carefree happy attitude, she was still beyond grateful for the two of them making today a little more easier. The girl approached sporting a true grin.

"Lydia!" Maya gushed and wrapped her arms around her friend.

She visited her at the hospital. And her house. And called, video chatted  and texted. Kind of overdoing if you ask Lydia, but the sentiment was appreciated a lot more than the strawberry blonde cares to admit. Especially given their past.

Lydia was the first one to look at Maya differently because of her disorder. One never truly understands mental illness until they start going through it themselves. Lydia always knew something was a little off with Maya. Hell, the girl was ten and would wake up screaming from nightmares and call her mom to pick her up from sleepovers. That was definitely her first clue.

But the second Maya had an episode in front of the school (coincidentally, it was right when Lydia's popularity was on the rise), well that was when the girl turned her back on her best friend and Maya was left alone with only Stiles and her brother. Never fully trusting another person to be her friend again.
