In my dream, I just gave you my star
I feel silly when I look into your eyes
Feeling like dreaming, only for a moment
Eventually you disappear far away

The picking of skirts went smoothly and surprisingly, Jake was not annoying [F/N] even in the slightest bit. She also liked the skirts that Jake has been giving her so she doesn't have the chance to complain and annoy the fuck out of him.

On the other hand, Jake enjoyed her company as well because he can't get over her smiles whenever she likes the skirts that he gives her. When they were done picking skirts, Yeonhui instantly showed up in front of them and started checking the items that [F/N] picked.

"Thank you [F/N]. Good luck with your fashion portfolio. Show me when it's done," Yeonhui said and gave the plastic bag to her.

"Yeah, I will. Thanks eonni," she gladly received the plastic bag and when she turned around, she saw Jake waiting for them.

"Uh, thanks as well. I'll get going now. Bye," She gave an awkward smile to Yeonhui and Jake and started walking away.

Yeonhui gave Jake a 'follow her look' and Jake just shook his head because he isn't confident about it. He's afraid that [F/N] will think that he's desperate over her. Yeonhui glared at him and he does not have a choice but to blame her if [F/N] will get mad.

She still wasn't that far when he get out of the shop. He run to catch up to her and then match her pace when he finally reached her.

[F/N] look at Jake, surprised when she saw him beside her. "What the fuck are you doing here? Are you following me?" She glared at him and Jake already saw it coming.

"No, Yeonhui said I should walk you back to the train station."

[F/N] was suddenly confused because Yeonhui never sends anyone to walk her back to the train station. She has been here a lot of times and it's a surprise that Yeonhui now sends someone to walk with her. Jake Kim is a fucking liar.

"You thought I would buy that? If you were able to make a fool out of Jiho, then I'm not."

Jake was annoyed when he heard that but he kept his composure. It's his fault anyway that people now think he's a pathetic criminal but he can't also allow someone to make wrong assumptions about him. His intentions are good and he doesn't want her to think that he's toying with her. It's the least he would do considering how he hated his father for doing that to his mother.

"Look, I am no angel nor devil. If I think that what I'm doing is helping someone, then I'm fine with doing something wrong. The girls along this street have been constantly threatened and they always fear losing their only source of income. The least I could do is to protect the life that allows them to at least survive."

Jake cringed at his explanation and he wished he could take it back. He thinks that there is no use in explaining it to her but he just did.

[F/N] was surprised by what Jake has said. She looked at the skirts that she bought and thinks that this is the barest of the bare minimum that she can do for the girls of Big Deal. Meanwhile Jake exhausted all means to help them.

She's not justifying the actions done, but it's somehow a more realistic approach considering that the threat is scary. Rich people can buy the street whenever they want and most of these girls are prone to be exploited. She reflected that her, being so mad at Jake right now just reeks of privilege.

"I'm sorry, I uh, don't know the extent of the situation. If you're offended, I'm really sorry and I really do mean it."

Jake only smiled at her and patted her head. "I'm sorry too. It's none of your business anyway, this is our problem. I'm sorry if it causes you trouble."
