Joanna
"They're all here for you." The metal man says as my eyes widened and my blood runs cold.
"I don't understand."
"They all think you're the lost princess of Azar." He said as he got to his feet.
"Azar?" I ask. "I've never heard of it before." My head tilts in confusion.
"It's located near the Core Worlds, close to Alderaan, its sister planet." He started. "Your galaxy would never be able to see it from here, but the Andromeda galaxy could." He added as I nodded, trying to follow. "Come on," He said as he reached out a hand to me. I glanced up at his visor and something told me that I could trust him, so I placed my hand in his and allowed him to pull me to my feet. I tried to hold it back, but a hiss of pain pushed past my lips as my ankle gave out and I dropped. Before I could hit the ground, an arm wrapped around my waist, tugging me back up and making me lean most of my weight onto the chest of the metal man. My breath hitched as the cold metal pressed against my side and I quickly wrapped my arm around him so I could pretend that never happened, and so I could try to support my own weight.
"Are you alright?" He asked as I tried to lightly push away from him, but his arm had a firm grip on my waist.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I sighed as he loosened his grip, allowing me to stand on my own. Once I could do that again, a fleet of metal people came down from the sky. I gripped onto my metal man as they all landed in front of us and I shied away from them, using my metal man as a shield of sorts.
I heard a soft chuckle come from his helmet before a person in a gold metal helmet with horns and slitted eyes walked up to us. She held, what looked like a hammer and tongs.
"I am the Armorer." She states, her helmet pointing in my direction.
"I'm Joanna." I breathe as I slowly hold my hand out to her, still slightly hiding behind the metal man as she turned to him.
"You will reunite her with her people." She speaks clearly as my metal man nods. "Also, give her something to call you." She says before turning and leading the others away, the large one seemingly glaring at me for a moment before turning and leaving as well.
"He seems nice." I scoffed as an audible chuckle came from his helmet.
"Don't worry, he doesn't like me much either." My head tilted to the side as a small smile bit at my lips.
"I didn't think you'd be much of a talker."
Silence.
"That's probably my fault." I sighed. "That's cool, ready to go?" I asked as his helmet tilted to the side in confusion before shaking it off and leaning over, sweeping me off my feet. I let out a squeak wrapping my arms tightly around his cowl.
"Don't drop me." I breathed out quickly, holding on tighter.
"I got you." He whispered, adjusting his hold on me so I feel more secure in his arms. "I have some Bacta spray in my ship that should help with your ankle." He said as a huge spaceship came into view.
"Woah..." I started. "What's Bacta?" I asked after gawking at his ship a moment.
"It's a spray that heals wounds." He explained as he lowered the hull and walked in, my jaw dropping.
"This is so cool." I bite my lip, trying to contain my excitement as he placed me down on a chair and propped my foot up before walking away to close the hull and get the spray.
He came back over and lightly sprayed my injured ankle and my mind was blown. "Woah! It feels like ten times better!" I jumped. "It's like magic." My eyes grew wide with wonder as I looked up at him from my ankle.
"You don't have anything like this here?" He asked as I shook my head.
"Do you realize how many lives you could probably save with that?" I breathed before remembering what a bitter world I live, well, lived in. "I'm almost glad they don't have it." I soured as his helmet tilted again. "The greed... I can't even imagine... well, I guess I can, but I really don't want to." I shook myself from the thought. "So, where are we heading? And what should I call you?" I asked as he offered me his hand before walking over to a ladder and climbing up it to an impressive cockpit, only answering one of my questions."Navarro."
