Big Mistake

Maks POV:

I checked my phone. 5:52 PM. Maddie and Sam went home about an hour ago and Meryl and I were both starving as rehearsal came to a close.

Maybe Meryl might want to go to the club with me tonight? I though. So why not ask.

"Hey Meryl... I... Uh...was..um wondering..." I studdered

"yeah?" She asked, confussed

"Well there's this cool new club down the street and I was wondering if you wanted to go."

"Um, sure" she replied

Yasssssss! I thought

"I'll pick you up at seven." I said, trying to play it cool

Meryls POV:

OMG! Maks asked me out! Well... Kinda... Maybe he was being nice. I'm not sure. I looked over at my clock after what felt day of searching for a dress. It said 6:48 PM. I freaked out and picked the first dress I saw. I ran to the bathroom and applied a minimum amount of makeup and curled my hair.

About 5 minutes before seven, I freaked myself out again.

My thoughts finally stopped when the doorbell rang

Maddies POV:

"Madison Ziegler! Get over here now!" My mom screeched as she chassed me around our apartmen.

"leave me alone!" I cried

"stop being such a baby you little brat!" My dad chimed in. then he slapped me across the face.

"I'm not a brat. you raised me to be the person I am!" I fought

"Well, I didn't raise my daughter to be a wimp and a loser!"

"stop! Help!" I screamed as my mom pulled my hair back and my dad kicked me in the stomach.

I looked over at my sister. She stood and stared. My dad looked over at her and she ran upstairs.

As the abuse continued, I forced my mind to think of anything else so the pain wouldn't feel as bad. Anywhere but here. I want to go anywhere. I wonder what Meryl and Maks could be doing
