Maddie's POV:

"Go upstairs, I never want to see you again!" My mom screamed

"Fine, good bye Forever!" I screached back.

It it was another night, another fight. I was too strong to cry, I was used to it. I ran upstairs and grabbed my suitcase. I threw clothing, my phone and charger inside. I took the fire exit from my room so no one saw me leave.

Who should I go to now? I thought. As I walked down the street I searched through my contacts when I stopped at Maks. he had given me his cell number and address on the first day of rehearsal but I never used it before. I got on my way.

Maks' POV:

I was just about to watch a movie with Val there was a knock at the door.

"Maks, can you get it?" Val yelled from the kitchen

"Yeah."

I opened the door to a sad, crying little girl.

"Maddie? Omg. What happened to you?" I questioned, staring at the bruise on her forehead and her clothes which were like rags.

She explained to Val and me about how her parents abused her and she ran away/was kicked out. I felt really bad for her and I thought it would be weird for her to stay with us, so I decided to bring her to Meryl's.

Meryl's POV:

I looked at my clock, 10:43 PM. I haven't talked to Maks in days. My room is dark, the shades are closed and all I do is watch Netflix in my pjs. I don't want to talk to anyone. By 11:00, I was in the bathroom and hid as I heard my ringtone go off multiple times. I cried. He did this to me, it's his fault. After about 10 minutes of weeping, there was a knock at the door.

Maks' POV:

"Meryl? Open up please. It's important" i repeated for a half hour. I heard was about to leave with Maddie when I heard crying. I raced to find a spare key under the doormat.

"Let me go in first." I tell Maddie. Her lips trembled and her eyes filled up with tears. I didn't want her to see.

I entered her home and followed the sound of wailing. There I saw Meryl, sitting in her bathroom, crying.

"OMG Mer Bear. I'm here for you." I said, expecting her to fall into my arms.

"Stop, go away." She yelled.

Maddie's POV:

"Meryl?!?" I asked as I walked into the room in fear. I waited in the hall for 15 minutes waiting for a calm time. Maks was sitting next to her, stroking her hair and telling her everything would be alright. I joined them and we soon moved to the bed. Meryl and I both leaned onto Maks and cuddled. Finally, Meryl calmed down and Maks asked when happened. The truth is, Meryl told me what happened a few days ago and I promised not to tell Maks.
