It's Just You and Me

Meryl's POV: 

I looked up at Maks and his eyes met with mine. I took a glance at Maddie and she gave me a "You need to tell him or I will" look

"Umm... Well..." I held back tears

"Yes?" He replied. We were interrupted by the sound of Maks' phone. I peeked at his message when he checked.

Peta 😍😘

Hey babe 😍

"What is that? I asked

"Well..." Was his reply

"Tell me!" I demanded

"Me and Peta are dating..." 

"Oh." Tears filled my eyes

"This isn't about me, it's about you, what's going on?" Maks asked

"Nothing. I've just been depressed lately." I said quickly

"no- Meryl's pregnant with your kid." Maddie interrupted 

Maks POV: 

Meryl fell into my arms and began to cry again. No, this couldn't be happening. My heart broke. There was silence for at least 10 minutes. 

"Meryl" I whispered. She look up at me

"We will get through this." 

"How?" She answered

"It will be alright. I will be right her for you the whole time." 

"But, you're with Peta."

"She's an understanding person. Don't worry about her. Right now it's just you and me."

She looked at me with hope. 

"Now let's think of the positives. He or she will have an amazing mother and will get their looks from their good looking dad."

She smirked. 

"I love you." She whispered and kissed me. We must've kissed for atleast 2 minutes before Maddie ruined it

"Do you 2 need a moment?" She asked, smirking

"Noooo" I glared at her

" wait, so what is Maddie doing here?" Meryl asked, noticing Maddie next to me

So she explained what happened. By the end of it all, she was in tears.

"This is the last they did to me." She showed us a bruise on her swollen back. 

"Oh baby... Come here." Meryl opened up her arms for a hug. 

That night we all fell asleep with Meryl's head on my chest and Maddie in between us. When I thought the two girls were asleep, I coughed. Suddenly, I heard a soft, innocent voice.

"Hey maks?" It was Maddie. 

"Yes?"

"I love you."

She then fell asleep. I paused

"I love you too." I whispered back.
