Y/N's Pov:

"Eh?" Shinobu asked, confused.

"It's hard to explain." I was still surprised. Why now? Why am I acting like this again?

"Is something wrong?" She asked. I nodded looking at Giyuu.

"What-" He started. I cut him off by smacking him on the head. I saw Shinobu freeze with a concerned smile.

"I feel great!" I felt like I could fly right then. Giyuu rubbed the back of his head and looked up.

"What's with the sudden energy?" He asked, annoyance hinted in his words.

"I don't know.." I replied, finally calming down. Why am I so happy suddenly?

"Whatevers the reason you seemed really happy for a moment. Never thought I'd see a Tomioka being so enthusiastic." She remarked.

"Would you like me to go back?" I asked honestly. She shook her head.

"No! I didn't mean it like that!"

"Good! Because I feel like doing everything in the world right now!" I said jumping side to side. Giyuus eyes grew wide as he seemed to remember something.

"You ok Giyuu?" I asked. He nodded with a small smile, it wasn't happy but it wasn't sad. More like content.

"Just haven't seen you like this in while." He replied. I smiled and ran up to him, giving him a hug.

"I'm sorry that I was able to return so quickly.. I wish that'd you'd be able to go back to how you used to be quickly.." I whispered. I felt his arms wrap around me as he hugged back.

"If you can move on then I will one day.. Just go and take this opportunity to be who you are." He whispered back. I let go of him and looked at Shinobu.

"Theres something about you. Something that can change lives Kocho." I told her. She seemed frozen, looking at a loss for words.

"I.." That was all that she could muster. I walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder.

"I don't know what happened to you, and I don't need to. I know that whatever happened is far to bad for you to let it go, but thank you." I said. She looked at me, her eyes wide. I smiled and walked back to Giyuu.

"I hope you know this side of me is annoying." I chuckled.

"I'll learn to get used to it again." He sighed. I laughed walking up to the window and looking out of it.

"Now if you'll excuse me I have some business to deal with."

3rd Person POV

"That bitch!" Uzui grumbled as he held his nose.

"Please do not use that language on others!" Rengoku said. Uzui scoffed.

"I'll use all the language I want on that stoic bitch." He stated. Rengoku just chuckled as they continued to walk. They both quickly stopped in their tracks, grabbing their weapons and turning around quickly. With a strong push they looked up to see a katana in their faces.

"What stoic bitch?" Both of them froze to see Y/N smiling at them. Rengoku laughed.

"Well well, I didn't see that coming! You almost got me there!"

"What is it with you trying to hurt me?!" Uzui yelled, grabbing Y/N's shoulders and shaking her aggressively.

"H-hey! It's just payback!" She yelled. He scoffed letting her go.

"Anyways, why did you follow us?" Rengoku asked.

"Eh, just felt like it." She shrugged. Suddenly there was some footsteps behind them. They turned to see Akio running up to them.

"Y/N! Y/N!" He yelled. Y/N kneed down to his level as he stopped in front of her to catch his breath.

"Akio! What are you doing here? Are you ok? Where's Mari?" Y/N asked worridly. They stayed in silence for a minute until another set of footsteps came in.

"Mari is right here!" Mitsuri yelled in reassurance. In her arms was Mari resting peacefully. Y/N felt her cheeks heat up as she stood up.

"I'm so sorry Kanroji." She apologized.

"It's fine! Mari weighs nothing." She said, slightly rocking the child in her arms.

"You were gone for so long and your brother left too!" Akio yelled hugging Y/N's leg.

"I'm sorry, I got distracted. And I hadn't planned for Giyuu to leave you both. Are you ok though?" Y/N asked, putting a hand on his head. He nodded without letting go.

"Mari wanted to follow him but she was falling behind and Akio was in a hurry. I was nearby so he ran up to me asking for help. So here I am." Mitsuri said with a smile.

"Again I'm so sorry for the trouble. Thank you so much for coming with Mari. And Akio I thought you were going to stay with your sister." She brought her attention to the boy in front of her.

"I didn't leave her! She's right here!" Akio said pointing at the sleeping girl in Mitsuri's arms. Y/N sighed and smiled softly.

"You are right. I'm sorry." She picked up Akio as she apologized. He just hugged her tightly and she chuckled. Mitsuri tilted her head.

"You seem in a happier mood!" She stated.

"Ah yeah. Weird story for another time." Y/N shrugged it off with a smile. She looked at Mari and back at Mitsuri. "She always looks so peaceful with you. How do you do it?"

"Oh. I don't know.. but look at you, Akio looks peaceful with you." Mitsuri nodded at the boy. Y/N looked down at him and saw him asleep, resting his head on her shoulder. How had he fallen asleep so fast?

"Well I guess we're both good with them." Y/N laughed. Mitsuri joined in until Y/N sighed. "We should probably put them to sleep."

"Aw cmon. Let's just keep them like this for a little longer! Please?" Mitsuri asked with a pleading look. There was no way for Y/N to refuse.

"Fine. Let's go inside atleast." Y/N agreed.

"Alright!" Mitsuri happily followed Y/N to her estate. Y/N opened the door for her and they walked in.

"Sorry if it's kind of empty. I've yet to decorate it." Y/N walked in sitting on one of the chairs in the dining room trying not to wake Akio. Mitsuri did the same sitting next to her.

"It's alright! Maybe I should come over and help decorate if that's ok with you!" She offered. Y/N immediately nodded her head.

"Yeah! Sounds like fun!" Y/N said as she laid back a bit into the chair. She found herself drift off a little bit. Odd.. Then again the whole day had her on her toes. She felt herself drifting off as Mitsuri talked until she was fully asleep.
