"Hm.." Y/N woke up with a small hum. She noticed Akio still in her arms peacefully asleep. Had she fallen asleep on the chairs? She froze, her eyes drifted to the side. She looked to her side and found herself laying her head on a sleeping Mitsuri holding a sleepy Mari. She immediately moved to get her head off of Mitsuri's shoulder as she felt her cheeks get warm, the movement making Mitsuri stir but she quickly settled down. Y/N sighed relieved when she noticed nobody had woken up.
"Morning sleepyhead." A voice called out. Y/N swung her head to the side seeing Uzui sitting on a counter.
"What the fu-!" Y/N stopped herself when she felt Akio nuzzle into her shoulder.
"Were you about to curse in front of a child?" Uzui asked with a smirk. She glared at him.
"How did you get in here? Why?"
"You left your door unlocked dumbass. That's dangerous, what if someone broke in?" He asked earning a scoff from her.
"Gee I wonder who the unwanted intruder could be. But anyways why are you here again?"
"I could sense something fruity." He said while shrugging.
"Sense something.. it's not like that.!" She whisper yelled while her face turned red.
"You sure? You two look like a couple with two kids right now." He sighed pointing at the children. Y/N glared at him while feeling her face heat up even more.
"I swear.. you're lucky I don't want to wake them or I would've been beating your ass to oblivion.."
"Please. Try me." He said with a sly smirk. She just stared at him quietly for a minute before sighing in defeat.
"Get out of my house."
"Oh? You want your alone time~?"
"I said get out!" She yelled waking up Akio and Mari. Akio looked up with a yawn looking between the two as Mari tried to go back to sleep, laying her head on Mitsuri again.
"What's going on..?" Akio mumbled rubbing his eyes. Y/N sighed patting his head.
"Nothing.. we just have a.. guest." She said trying not to wake the child harshly. Akio looked up at Uzui and squinted.
"What are you looking at?" Uzui asked crossing his arms.
"Don't you have 3 wives..?" Akio tilted his head as he asked. Uzui lit up and let a smirk rest on his face.
"Of course. It's only fair the most flamboyant hashira has the most extravagant love life." He boasted. Akio looked up at Y/N confused.
"Do his wives not love him?" Everyone froze.
"Eh?"
"Well he has three wives but he's always out doing something.. does he not have a life? Do his wives not want to be near him?" Akio furrowed his eyebrows as if thinking. Y/N tried to hold in a laugh as Uzui looked flabbergasted.
"What?! Of course they love me! You get this from her don't you?!" Uzui yelled pointing at Y/N. It didn't help that both Akio and Y/N suddenly tilted their heads to the side at the same time. Uzui looked between the two of them then huffed.
"Drama queen.." Y/N whispered making Akio giggle.
"See this is what I mean! Whatever, neither of you deserve my flashy presence." Uzui said before storming out the door. Y/N let out a huge sigh before raising her hand to high five Akio.
"Attaboy! You got him to leave!" She smiled. Akio looked up and high five her with a laugh. The two sat there laughing and celebrating playfully, waking up the other two girls. Mari whined lifting her head up to look at them as Mitsuri's eyes fluttered open, her green eyes still lidded from just waking up.
"Hmm..?" She hummed looking around. Her eyes widened slightly when she saw where she was.
"Morning.." Y/N said with a little laugh.
"Did I sleep over..? I'm sorry.." She said.
"No no! It's alright really! Mari slept well in your arms! Don't blame her either."
"Eh? Really?" She asked surprised. Mari looked up at Mitsuri and smiled reaching her hands up to pat Mitsuri's cheeks. Mitsuri's eyes lit up as she squealed pulling Mari into a hug. Y/N and Akio looked at both of them in adoration. Y/N admiring how cute Mitsuri looked while with Mari and Akio admiring the fact that Mari had someone other than him treating her with such kindness.
"Mission!" A crow flew into the building. Y/N didn't recognize the crow so she assumed it was Mitsuri's. Mitsuri looked up at the crow and went silent as she listened in. The crow sat on the chair and gave her the instructions before flying off. Mitsuri sighed and stood up putting Mari on the chair. She looked back at the 3 others and smiled.
"I'm off! Thank you for letting me stay over!" She smiled. Mari pouted and reached up for her again. Y/N chuckled and patted Mari's head.
"She has to go. She'll be back." Y/N then looked up at Mitsuri with a worried smile. "Be careful alright?"
Mitsuri nodded smiling. Akio looked between the two and tilted his head.
"Do you love each other more than the man's wives love him..?" He asked making them both freeze. Both their faces turned red but Mitsuri just stayed quiet with confusion. Y/N seemed to notice this and just waved it off with a nervous chuckle.
"Long story.. good luck on your mission."
"Thanks! When I'm back I'll cook these kids some good meals!" And after that Mitsuri left. Y/N stared at the door with a small smile. Mari whined wanting Mitsuri back.
"Come back!" She yelled running for the door before Y/N got up and caught her easily with a sigh.
"She'll be back. Now come along. You must be hungry." She said making both children look up anxiously.
"Yes yes!"
"Good. But after we eat we're going to the Kocho's."
The two kids nodded happily following Y/N to the kitchen. As Y/N started to cook, the kids fidgeting in the back, she looked out the window with a content sigh. She couldn't wait for Mitsuri's Mission to be over.
Sorry for not updating much. I kinda get busy. Question for anyone reading though. Should the story go angst then happy ending? Full fluff? Or end with angst?
