  Third pov

  The younger vampire pushed the human behind himself as he prepared himself for anything. Seonghwa's father could do anything- even kill both of them- so Seonghwa stayed on edge as he protected Hongjoong.

  "Hongjoong will not be some sort of blood bag for you people- he is my mate, and I will not let you hurt him!" Seonghwa exclaimed, his chocolate brown eyes glowing a deep blue shade.

Behind the vampire, Hongjoong's eyes were also, now, a deep blue, though he hadn't noticed.

"My word, Baekhyun was right; you did find your mate," Chanyeol muttered, his eyes locked on the pair's blue ones.

"I will not chain him up again- he will stay with us in the house like he deserves to," Seonghwa demanded. Chanyeol's eyes went blue for a couple seconds before he spoke in agreement.

"Fine, bring the human upstairs. You'll have to go shopping for whatever it is he eats," Chanyeol said. Seonghwa and Hongjoong were shocked as they heard the oldest speak.

  Seonghwa took him by the hand and led him upstairs again. Once they were back in the vampire's bedroom, Seonghwa shut the door and collapsed to his knees.

  "Hongjoong, your eyes are blue!" Seonghwa exclaimed, pointing at them with his free hand. Hongjoong furrowed his brows and said the same.

  "So are yours!"

  "Uncle Baekhyun!" Seonghwa exclaimed. The vampire soon appeared behind the human, who jumped in fear before noticing he was Baekhyun.

  "Shit, Baekhyun, a warning, please! That was scary!" Hongjoong asked, his eyes still blue.

  "Okay, I'll warn you guys next time. I apologize for scaring you. What did you need?" Baekhyun asked. Hongjoong looked at Seonghwa confusedly.

  "Do you know why our eyes are blue?" Seonghwa questioned.

  "Can you please let go of each other first? And calm down while you're at it- Chanyeol won't hurt Hongjoong now that you've compelled him." Baekhyun said.

  "Compelled him?" Seonghwa asked. The pair of lovers begrudgingly let go of their grips on their hands and settled beside each other on the bed.

  "You two are a pair of mates I got to choose. I didn't know how powerful you'd be together, but seeing your blue eyes and how Hongjoong is back upstairs alive makes me believe that you've compelled your father. Did his eyes also flash blue?" Baekhyun asked. Hongjoong nodded.

  "Then that means you two are strong- stronger than us- to be able to compel both of us so easily."

  "But I'm still just a human," hongjoong said. Baekhyun smiled.

  "Yes, but you're mated to a vampire. You'll become a vampire soon enough, Hongjoong."

"What? How?" Hongjoong asked. Seonghwa's cheeks flushed and Baekhyun had a gentle smile.

  "When you two mate, you will bite each other, and Seonghwa's bite to you will turn you into a vampire. Your bite is just to complete the marking on him as well. After, you'll drink some blood to finalize your change, and you'll be a vampire," Baekhyun explained.

'At least he's cute enough to be stuck with.' The human thought.

"Hey! Well, thanks, but still!" Seonghwa whined, having read hongjoong's mind.

"I told you to stay out of my mind, Hwa." Hongjoong shook his head.

"But-"

  "No, Hwa. It may seem normal to you vampires, but it certainly isn't to we humans. Don't read my mind unless I am unable to speak."
