Lisa's mom (real name: Heather) and princess Ariadne traveled through the sea of clouds (in which the castle of the king rests) to flee from the king, but they better hurry because he is pursuing them. Luckily they found a row boat shaped cloud that is docked at the pier (since they're up high in the sky, it's possible for boats or ships made of clouds to travel through the sky).
"Lets try and hide in that row boat" Suggested Ariadne
"Are you sure? I don't think it's solid for us to stand on, we would've fall through it since it's air" said Lisa's mom in a doubtful tone.
"Trust me! Now hurry, the king will be here any moment!" Responded Ariadne.
They both rushed towards the row boat, and strangely enough, they didn't fall through it. It must be made from a type of cloud infused with magic or some kind of substance, whatever it was, it's very sturdy. However, there's a man standing on the row boat with an oar in hand. He has a bluish green colored hair, two yellow horns, green eyes, and pink skin. He wore a waist cloth made from tiger pelt, wrist bands made of iron, and ankle bands made of iron.
"Can I help you two ladies?" He asked.
"Take us far away, please" answered Ariadne.
"Like how far?" He questioned.
"Any where that will hide us from the king. We escaped from his castle, and now we're on the run!" Answered Lisa's mom.
"Hmm... very well, I suppose I can take you two to my village. It's not far, but it's one of the places that the circle of ten hasn't resided yet due to not being in alliance of the king" said the horned man.
He removed the rope that tied the cloud based row boat, then used his oar to push the boat and started rowing away. Both Lisa's mom and Ariadne sat down, looking around to see if the king is pursuing them. So far, there wasn't any sightings of him.
"I know you two are paranoid, the way the king must be furious enough to give chase. However, he cannot come to my village because my people can shoot lightning and create strong winds to blow him away. Although, we have the topaz key that we kept in the store house, but we aren't affiliated with the circle of ten. We only acquired the topaz key from the king by having one of our members pretend to join the circle of ten, only stealing it from him" explained the horned man.
"What are you?" Asked Lisa's mom.
"I am what you humans call a "spirit of the lightning", my people are the ones who control the weather by conjuring up thunderstorms and rain. We are embodiments of lightning itself, which is reflected by our horns, the tiger pelts we wear, and the musical instruments we play. We also serve Susanoo, the storm god and younger brother of Amaterasu" explained the horned man.
"I've read about your people, you all lived up in the clouds due to being embodiments of lightning. Not much known about you all except being responsible of thunderstorms upon the command of Susanoo, since you live up high in the sky" said Ariadne.
"That's about right" he said.
Suddenly, they heard screeching from the distance. They saw a giant shadowy owl wreathed in flames flying through the clouds, as if it was looking for them.
"Oh no, The king is here! From the looks of it, he's very angry to the point that he's looking for us!" Ariadne panicked.
"that's the king!?" Questioned Lisa's mom.
The horned man glared at the flaming owl (Its actually the king in that form, in which it resembles a barn owl), he pointed at it as if he's aiming at it. When the flaming owl saw the row boat, it dived in while screeching, readying it's talons to grab Lisa's mom and princess Ariadne. Then the horned man shoot a bolt of electricity at the flaming owl, electrocute it. He did it again until it flew away, as a means of driving it away.
"Hmph, the king cannot handle lightning nor water. He may have seen us, but don't you worry. Once we're at my village, then you should be safe" he said.
"That actually scared me! I saw you shooting a bolt of electricity from your finger, and I thought we're going through a thunderstorm!" Exclaimed Lisa's mom.
The horned man chuckled, before continuing on rowing the boat towards his village. It took about fifteen minutes, until the two saw a large cloud in the distance. It is colored in a mix of yellow, orange, and pink as if the sun is shining on it. When they got closer, they can see houses made of clouds and wood. The horned man docked the row boat at the pier, so Lisa's mom and Ariadne got off it.
"If you see my wife and kids up at the top of the village, tell them I said hello!" Said the horned man.
Lisa's mom nodded before leaving with Ariadne, the road on the large cloud where the village is built on has rainbow bridges that connect each gaps (since that rainbows are basically reflections of when sunlight shines on rain drops). As they walked up the road, they can see many of the villagers are busy carrying on their lives. Each of the villagers wore tiger skin pelts for clothing, their hair color range from dark grey to green in many shades, the children have small yellow horns (few have only have one horn) while the adults have big horns, and some were playing their instruments in order to produce electricity. In one side of the village, it was constantly raining while the wind was blowing hard that the two had trouble walking. At the other side of the village, it was constantly hailing that they have to cover their heads to keep from being pelted to death (and the air was cold).
"What's with this weather?" Asked Lisa's mom.
"Since we're in the village of storms, the villagers are responsible with controlling the weather as per orders from Susanoo. It seems they're working on hail storms and rain storms with strong breezes, probably to perform their duty towards any region" explained Ariadne.
When they reached almost to the top, they saw a large bolt of lightning at the top in the form of chains (presumably the source of energy for the villagers). Not only that, but there's also a small house made from clouds in the form of a dome. They entered the house, and they can see tiger skins on racks, instruments laying at both corners, and a circle of stones with a small cloud producing lightning.
They heard multiple footsteps coming from behind them, and they turned around. As it turns out, multiple villagers were walking up to the top while carrying instruments. Whatever it is, it seems like a music festival is going to take place at the top.
"Should we check it out?" Asked Ariadne.
"I don't see why not" replied Lisa's mom.
Both of them followed the villagers up to the top, where the large lightning chain is located. The children sat down as the adults ready their instruments, even Lisa's mom and Ariadne sat on the cloud to watch.
"Alright, today is the twentieth anniversary of kings reign. We know that we hate the king, so let us play our music in honor of our god susanoo!" Announced an old horned man (implied to be head of the village).
The flute players started to play their instruments, then the drummers played their drums to mimic the sound of thunderstorms. They were joined in by the musicians playing the stringed instruments, in it puts in the mind of a battleground in the middle of a rain storm. It wasn't epic, but rather somber like a tragedy has happened within the battleground. The audience were quiet as the music continues playing, they weren't cheering but they can imagine a story within the music. Eventually, the musicians stopped playing their instruments.
"Now, what do you all think of this music?" Asked the old horned man.
"It sounded rather somber, but I can imagine a tragic story" answered the horned woman wearing a tiger skin kimono.
"It has the feel of a thunderstorm and rain, just like lord susanoo!" Remarked the horned man with a small beard.
"That is what I would like to hear, as it recalls about lord susanoo performing his duties on rain storms and how he battled the dreaded orochi!" Said the old horned man in a cheerful tone.
Lisa's mom and Ariadne were clapping with joy, as they thought the music was beautiful.
